As there are almost all of the Ferraris out there... I'd like to see
more Porsches like the 914 - 917 - 924 - 928 - etc...

Also More F1 cars and other big open wheel series would be interesting like IRL / Champ Cars / GP2.....

The Zonda is another supercar I'd like to see as a miniRc! and there are a lot of supercars that would make fantastic Bodies!

But one classic - perhaps not that much, but it's an oldie alright - Is the Pontiac '79 Blackbird. or a '72 Camaro....

Will some of this ever make it??? naahhh ... they're not that commercial I guess.

Allen1
2005.10.05, 02:02 PM
Silverado or any chevy pickup
new corvette
any GM or Ford muscle car from the late 60's - 70's would be nice

2005.10.05, 02:33 PM
As stated before:

Personally, I'm still waiting for my 70 LS6 Chevelle, 69 ZL1 Camaro, 1967 Nova SS, 1970 AAR Cuda, 1969 Daytona, 1973 Dodge Dart.... at least we got a retro Stang this year. Still would like to see an old Cougar or something. I'm pretty sure the old steel would sell fast. Do an old school lowrider series, give me a kyosho part number for fuzzy dice and curb whiskers for all I care ! If Kyosho made a friggin Pinto station wagon in that nasty Army green... I'm sure they would sell them ! Give me a 4 door Chevy Citation with rust spots on it and different color body panels ! Call it the Ghetto Series ! I'm all for new bodies, anything they got, go for it !

Yep... still feel the same. :D
Actually, I think it would be hilarious to see a Pinto, Pacer, Gremlin... passing an Enzo on the track... I sure get a good laugh when my 575GTC gets passed by Gasmans VW Beetle !

imxlr8ed
2005.10.05, 05:09 PM
Actually... since the AWD is coming...

Mitsubishi 3000 VR4, Eagle Talon (or Eclipse GSX), or.. go with the new Eclipse in it's Magna VR-X version, Magnum RT Wagon, Audi RS4, and lastly, truly ahead of it's time, the 1992 GMC Typhoon, sickest production SUV ever !

Lionblade

i don't care WHAT bodies they make, I just want them to be MM.

Too many Enzos.

EMU
2005.10.05, 10:12 PM
Id like to see new bodies of all sizes... 90mm, 94mm, and 98mm. As long as they fit on an 02 ;)

I agree that there are way too many Enzo's around... but it is a very nice body for racing. I am setting up a 90mm chassis, which would be best suited for tight tracks while the longer wheelbase chassis would be better for larger tracks with less tight turns.

I would love to see more Porsche's, mainly front engine... 924, 924GT, 944, 928, 968... Any one of these would do :p And of course the GT1 and Carrera GT. Some retro racers like 917 and 956 would be great too. There are way too many Ferrari's, we need more Porsches.

VW Corrado SLC, Phaeton, A2 GTI, R32
BMW E30 M3, M6 (635CSI), E40 M5
Alfa Romeo Milano Verde, GTV6
Lotus Elise, Elise GT, Esprit
Lamborghini Gallardo (like it much better than the Murciellago)
Acura TSX, TL, Integra Type R, MDX for OL
Shelby GT500
Nissan R390GT
Corvette C6R
Spyker LM

For the AWD, I would love to see the old Audi Sport Quattro GT.

For me its more a question of series I am missing.
We have the formula 1, of course.
I would like to see some bodys of a special racing event.

Porsche 917 ? I would love it, but then with some of its competitors from this time.

That means i.e. CanAm or Le Mans from a special time and a special group so you can play these event again with your friends :)

Like you have it in the slotcar world.

Therefore it would be also nice if Kyosho would go in cooperation with some plastic kit manufactors like Fujimi or what ever which built more kits fitting for the mini-z scale and wheelebase. All these 1/24 stuff is quite long espacially the racing car like kits.

At least my Favourites would be:
Renault Alpine A110 Turbo Gr.5
Ferrari 365 GT BB Gr.5
Ford Capri Gr.5
All these fat ones :D

Lionblade
2005.10.06, 10:59 PM
Lotus Elise, Elise GT, Esprit
Lamborghini Gallardo (like it much better than the Murciellago)

Gotta love Lotus. An Esprit definitely seems doable, I think it'd handle & feel like a Diablo.

Though the Lotus I wanna see is the '05 Elise Exige. Pure beauty.

I heard that Kyosho is working out the License to make more F1 cars and if they don't get that license that they were going to use the IRL car instead. Either way both series will look awesome.

Some cars I would to see is.

Autoscales I'd absolutely love that don't exist yet to my knowledge:

Porsche 935 (Martini Racing version)
Porsche 956/962 (Rothman) - with a 102mm wheelbase and gold BBS aerorims
Porsche 959 (Rothman) - 4wd with adjustable ride height and optional big knobby tires (almost like a mini-overland tires)
Lamborghini Murcielago (Racing version)
Audi R8 (or the new R10) LeMans racecar
Renault R5 Turbo
AC Cobra 427 with 94mm wheelbase and at least 1mm offset rims

Autoscales that do exist (note: I already have the Ferrari 575GTC and a banged up Ferrari 360):

Ferarri Enzo (98MM 1N/3W)
Ferarri Testarossa (94RML 0N/2W)
Ferarri 360 GTC (94RM 1N/1W)
Ferarri 575 GTC (94RM 2.5N/3W)
Ferarri 360 (94RM 0.5N/1W)
Ferarri F40 (90RM 0N/2W)
Ferarri F430 (94RM ????)
Lamborghini Murcielago (98MM 0N/3W)
McLaren F1 LM/GTR (98MM 0N/0W)
Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren (98MM 1N/1W)
Ford GT 2005 (98MM 0N/2.5W)

Hopefully I won't get pulled into F1s because that will be a whole other story.

best bet is to review atomicmods.com and contact them. id say if you asked how to get a certain xmod body to work with a mini-z, then you might be going in the right direction...but the other way around doesn't really work for this board since it is a mini-z board, not an xmod board.

Totally second some of the recommendatations..
I think the problem is that we need more bodies that are actually
competitive in a race environment. e.g. 98mm 02MM and as wide as
an enzo!! Unique light/bright colored color schemes are really useful
too to help the car show up and be identifyable on the track!
The problem with most bodies is that they look cool, but
you really cant compete with them

Here are my receommentations for 02 MM bodies:
Bugatti Veyron
Pagani Zonda
Saleen S7
Mosler 900
Factory Five GTM
Radical SR3
Ultima
New Camaro
Corvette Z06 6th gen (so sorely missing!)
Exige race car (94mm wb??)
Toyota MR2 JGTC racer (94mm ??)
Aston Martin DB9
Aston Martin Vantage
Porsche Carrera 550 (sorely missing WTH!!)
Koenig Evolution (sp?)
Lamborghini Gallardo (seems like this one would be on the way, please make an orange one!!)
Lamborghini Cala Concept
Toyota GT-One (amazing looking car!!)

And maybe for some smaller narrower bodies
Lotus elise/exige (in orange)
Saturn sky
Pontiac solstice
BMW M5
BMW M6
Mercedes Benz CLS AMG

Heck I'd be happy just to see more Mclaren F1 GULF produced stateside!
And maybe a ford GT in the gulf colors.

Aboslutely :

Pagani Zonda / Zonda Roadster / Bugatti Veyron

Also LeMans racing bodies are welcomed.

Any Wide / long bodies are great for racetrack racing.

A remake of the old IWaver Porsche GT body, but up to scale to fit the new chasis would be great.

I agree. I think American Classic muscle car category should be a pretty big draw for new to mini-z folk here in States and should not be overlooked like it has been. nascar didn't work out for a slew of reasons not relevant to VTA.

Following are just my opinions:
- there are no proper oval tracks for mini-z's to run on, certainly no permanent ones so no one can count on racing them on a regular basis or ever depending on location.
- in the entire on-road RC racing scene of all scales Oval is probably one of the smallest segments to begin with, so to expect high oval numbers in a specialized category such as mini-z, well we know what happened...
- Nascar Mini-z did not target the existing mini-z racer mindset wanting to race road courses and exotic and unique sport cars, they targeted the Nascar fans only IMO (full size), who probably like the general public are not well familiar with RC to begin with , & with the small size of mini-Z's they wouldn't now what to think of them even if they did found out they exist ...at the end there was no group to buy them in large enough numbers.

None of the above apply to VTA, so it's just opens up another very distinct and likely popular class of racing , kinda like LM cars so I think it's a good direction for Kyosho to consider & look into. Also I think in US, VTA will be appealing in new locations where so far mini-z hasn't had as much attention as the coasts which will be exciting.

1. Some missing FIA GT1 cars should be made like the maserati MC12 racecar
2. The Aussie V8 Supercars....you have no idea how cool it would be to see a Holden Commedore in 1/28th scale.

Now I'm curious, why the Mini-Z Nascar was not a hit in the US ?

I dont always check this thread, so I am sorry for bringing this up, when it is late, and OT to begin with. I still want to add my 2 cents, as we actually raced these cars on a ROval set up. We raced our typical road cars clockwise and through an infield section, while running the NASCAR cars counter-clockwise around the outside. We raced the box stock with only the NASCAR tires as an upgrade, and they were VERY evenly matched, and fun to drive.

The biggest problem I saw was that the NASCAR fan base is very entertainment based and most fans are pretty die hard for certain drivers. I have the NASCAR bodies in my store right now, and while a huge percent of people walk into my store and ask about NASCAR + oval (I am in the deep south :D), almost all of them are put off by the fact that they can only get a Harvick or Edwards car. The other thing I saw as a put off for other race groups was that they were run on the MR-015. If they came out with some current cars on MR03 chassis, (specifically Johnson or Gordon, Stewart, and Earnhardt), they would have more potential to sell, IMO.

Back on topic:
I would like to see any of the Daytona prototype cars made, and more current LMP cars. I love the look of those on the track, and some 98mm offerings would really diversify the class. A little change to the damper plate, and the LM pod could easily be run in 98 :D

Going off topic, I also agree w/ that. The limiting choices on Nascar Bodies available makes it difficult to sell that category to Nascar Fans, but in the other hand, opens a door to the talented hobbyist who could make some money by selling custom painted bodies of other drivers.
