Found the amp: McIntosh 6 channel, only $1,100; it's a steal!! It's 'bay #5756555560.

Use this sub, toss the amp in the trash. # 5755848913

Speakers? Yeah, we gots 'em: Elemental Designs' eDi component set. (http://www.edesignaudio.com/product.php?cid=14&pid=29&cur=USD) I can easily build a set of speaker plates to mount 'em, too.

Just a few minutes left on these: # 7957632676. That's the wheel I thought of right away, Fred. That's what I was talking about exactly. Funny it was the first wheel picture when I searched for " 20" wheel" on the bay. :D

And the go: 351 Windsor. I'll pick it up. # 7958954792

But what do we have here on the Elemental Designs site? They've come out with the amps I told them to, a couple years ago. 4-channel, lower wattage stereo, higher wattage mono. Hmmm, reckon they do read their email. ;)

Blacked out '99-'02 (can't remember, sorry) Crown Victoria. Black exterior, black leather interior. Gonna tint the windows 35% black and tint the tails and back up lights. Paint all the chrome strips black, too.

I'd say leave some chrome on it. It already look's like something you see parked in front of a funeral parlor.

Our local funeral home uses a bunch of Fords. The hearse is built on a Lincoin. Why they use the Fords, I have no idea.

HammerZ, I would have thought you would have had a little more class than to disrespect a fellow board members ride. I guess I was wrong.

(And saying it looks like something you would see parked in front of a funeral parlor is disrespectful)

I mean no disrespect with that. Ours use the fords, I guess cause they are cheaper to maintain. Maybe because they use the same parts as the Police cars.

(they have a few Lincoin cars too, but those are used for the more highbrow settings.)

Thanks cam2, it has a 4.6L and I'm not sure if you can get a 5.0 or bigger in the crown vic. And yes, I hate the rims too. I am looking for some new but the price has got to be right. Im hoping Eric will be able to hook me up.

Chatta mentioned 20' rims in the first post when you go that big you ruin the feel of the ride. my buddy put 20s on his 300m they came off after a few months because the ride was harsh. that's $3,000 down the drain

I dont think I will go any bigger than 17" rims. I said the same thing to chatta last night after the races. I prefer a smoother ride rather than better looks. Im gonna do a few mods but nothing too extreme.

I did have "18 Alba Blitz/ Dunlop W10's on my Dakota, watch out for the potholes. I loved the way it cornered with them. My biggest problem is the tires cost about $200 each. Right now I have the factory cast wheels on it with BFG's.

pHREDD I would go with the unmarked cop car look. Get some plain Jane cop car rims. I bet when you’re on the highway the slow pokes pull over to the slow lanes and let you have the fast lane all to your self.

I liked the ebay picture better, with the black center. An all chrome wheel like that would be "pimp" for sure.

that works me and my boy ran a impallas SS down south a while back with black cop car rims and every one was pulling out of the way. As far a hooking up a crownvic/ I would copy the merc Merauder it all black w/17 rims ,,,nice .Kinda like a impalla SS,only its a ford!

EXACTLY.

Fred - do you like those wheels? I don't think they'd work as 17"-18"s. I'll have to dig a little big to find some nice 17"-18" rims that are black with a polished lip like the set I posted from ebay.

There ok....theres just so many rim choices its hard to decide. I been surfing for the last few days for rims but nothing has jumped out and said "buy me" yet

I think the black rim with the crome lip is the best so far

Definitly black with chrome lip wheels. That says 'pimp' and 'sleeper' at the same time.
