How big is a mini tile 96? Is it the same size as a wide L?

It is close. There is a comparison photo on MZR somewhere--Perhaps, RCP's gallery.

o neat, i like that idea that you can have a nice road course even if you dont have alot of room.

wait, so the one on the far right is the mini-96 correct? I wonder if that'd fit downstairs, I think it'd be great for four of us racing, I don't need that much space, the wide L seems almost too.... well, wide.

What's like, the dimensions of the layouts there, like if you drew a box around them, would it be like 6ft x 7ft or something around there?

I like the smaller lanes, Its more of a challenge.

I would have to agree. Speed seems to be a matter of how much your willin to spend  . Skill is cheap and only costs time and spare parts. Plus with enough skill will come speed. :D

Speed kills... a great racer can be born on a stock car and never race anything different.

And still become a multi-millionaire.

I have seen a few people that even though they come and race i have not seen them get any better.

that was built out of a mini 96 rcp set? wicked!

all that would ever be racing on it max would be 4, so not a problem. does anyone know, or can anyone get pictures of all kinds of possibilities there are in the mini 96? like track layouts I mean.

Thanks! :D

that's using either 2 L's or some other combo's. Thanks though!

Maybe someone can post up a pic of the track they made out of their mini 96... *cough* arch *cough* :D

Actually it is the 96 in the first pic. The rest could still be made from one mini 96. Remeber, you still have more tiles in one Mini 96 than you do in 2 Wide L's(only 80 tiles and much much more room needed).

Check out http://rcp-tracks.com/html/media.html Under the PDF file link there is a link for seperate JPGs of the same pages. Page 2 is for the Mini 96.

Yes !! All layouts can be made of 1 set ! You can count the tile's (96) I mean curves and straights and use RCP-track-maker ! ;)

Just for a comparison. This is a layout using two mini-96 tracks plus 24 blank mini tiles. ;)

...someone can post up a pic of the track they made out of their mini 96...Here are three more layouts that were not shown. All 7 layouts are using one Mini-96 track set.

sweet, thanks for all the photos. I think I just might have to get a mini-96 track this summer with some of my spending money (most of it.. :D )

what tires usually work best on that surface? rubber? grooved rubber? foam?

Thanks! :D

8 or 10 rear and 10-20 front combo's work for me, treaded rubber..... what i prefer anyway

What arch said. Although I'm not sure the tread style really makes a difference. The exception to that may be the atomic ribbed tires. I've not used them, but I've heard others say that the ribs are so soft and deep, that they flex and is causes them to get squirrely.

treaded vs. slicks.... it's all a matter of preference. you could argue a convincing case for either. best advice, buy atleast one set of a few types and see what you like best. tires are not expensive and something you will be continually buying so it's a justified expense.

Some ppl just can't drive R/C, no matter how much they practice. But you still have to addmit that the more you do somthing (like racin mini-z) the better you get.
