Hey, It's been quite a while since I've posted something big. Some of you might have forgotten me. I never really did leave this forum. I kept on reading the interesting articles that were posted up. But anyways, here's my little story to tell...

For those who don't know me and are new to the forums, I'm Wedginator. Been around for years. My first Mini-Z was this one:http://www2.mini-zracer.com/gallery/album45 Good 'ol MR-01. I still have it, but not the body anymore.

I upgraded that MR-01 until it looked like this: http://www2.mini-zracer.com/gallery/album43 I don't run it anymore as all the newer MR-02's outhandle it.

There are more cars in my photo album if you want to see the history of my cars.

Anyways, moving on. From Xmas of 2004 I took a trip to Hong Kong. Tons of hobby shops there. As Mini-Z's being one of my favourite hobbies, I decided to pick up a MR-02 to replace my outdated MR-01. I ended up with this baby rite here: http://www2.mini-zracer.com/gallery/album556

Lots of adventures with my new MR-02. For those in Toronto, there is a track just for mini-z's. here are some pics: http://www2.mini-zracer.com/gallery/album438

They change track configurations weekly so the drivers don't get bored. BTW, those are my friend's car in the pictures. My new MR-02 handles great on that track. The track uses a Ozite carpet.

Later in the year, there was a Toronto Mini-Z Championship race. I decided to show my skills and joined the race. To sum it up, I qualified in stock class B main, but finished last. :( Oh well... I had fun. I was just quite nervous and kept crashing. here are some pics to sum up the event: http://www2.mini-zracer.com/gallery/album597

Well... this almost concludes my Mini-Z story. As of today (August 2nd 2005), my Mini-Z MR-02 looks like this: http://www2.mini-zracer.com/gallery/album706

My race setup hasn't changed. I like this setup because it handles well... Here are the list of upgrades I have on it. Anything else not listed is stock:
Green front springs
Bearings
Alloy lock-nuts
30 degrees front slicks
20 degrees rear grooved atomic tires
Alloy motor mount by 3Racing
Ball diff by 3Racing
Hard H-plate by Atomic
Atomic Stock class motor

As you can see, I don't have many upgrades. Keep it simple and the car is a winner. My car can keep up with the FETted cars with the crazy motors. I'm running stock FETs btw. I just love my MR-02... :p

Well, that's basically my story. Hope I didn't bore any of you... This hobby has been a great experience, and always will be. I know my RC addiction will just keep growing...

yea, I just do FETs for the hobby shop. Business is slow ATM cuz it's summer and everyone's playing with their nitros outside. Well... X-mas is something to look forward to... MZHS always holds some special winter event... That means more customers which leads to more business, which means more FETs to do... LOL...

Ya, I went to MZHS on the 4th, it was fun! I have been wanting to go there for two years, I met james and I got some parts and drove on the track for a bit.
