I didn't know/remember (if I did know at one time) about the 17th being an issue for Frank and Tommy. I didn't want the event to take place during the holidays, and I wanted to give it some time to fill up the registration and get the word out. They will both be missed.

Either way, it's my track and I'll do what I want!!!! Bwahahahaha! (Inside joke to all new readers - I am not a dictator.)

Eugene - The PN AWD motor is fine. If Atomic has an equivelant, that's fine too.

Thank you to everyone who came out for Gift Card Racing last night! We had a big crowd and a $60 pot! It's great to see the new drivers showing up and having fun, as well as our normal Thursday night crew. If you are not racing on Thursday nights, you are missing out on a lot!

B-Main: Jack took the win over Jeff, who put up a good fight. Jamil came in third, and Jamie, who was so reluctant to get in there and bang up some fenders, narrowly beat out Vinny for fourth. (She also improved tremendously from each qualifier to the main - stay with it, Jamie!) Bobby D had some early trouble after only five laps. Better luck next Thursday.

A-Main: Johnathan took the win over ME(Grrr!!!) by one lap, and one bad lap really cost me. In one lap, I hit Marty twice and Rob C three times! Marcos came in 3rd, just one lap down to me, and Marty and Tom battled for 4th for the entire race - finishing less than one lap apart. Rob had some trouble and finished 6th. I had a BLAST trying to catch Johnathan and trying to hold off Marcos, who took second from me at the midpoint. (My highlight was taking second back from Marcos as we ran door to door for the entire back straight, right sweeper, and front straight. I actually a few laps at the beginning, and then my disaster lap happened. (Again, Grrr!!!) Fastest lap: ME! (8.13)

Cody - I have several painted and unpainted 350Z's for the MR02 in stock. I love that body.

Frank - You missed a good one last night. See everyone Saturday!

What are the offsets on the 350z?

Cody

EMU
2008.11.14, 03:27 PM
The newest one I believe is 1N, 2W... I know you can fit the WTF with a -1mm N wheel. I am unsure of the rear, although I do want to try the body soon.

minittrackmann
2008.11.14, 03:33 PM
So is the WTF sytem required to run the body? I dont think so right.

Cody

EMU
2008.11.14, 04:33 PM
No, WTF just adds 2mm offset on each front wheel.

Just to throw something out there: I was watching Monster Jam on Speed tv with my kidsone day, and thought- Hey why not have a "Monster Jam" at Action RC one night. Alot of guys are really serious and competitive about this hobby, and a monster truck race would really lighten things up around the place. It could be a Thursday night thing where people can donate their old battered bodies that we all have just laying in our pit boxes and have some fun. Im just curious if there is enough people/ intrest in monsters to race?

Just as Jimmie Johnson created a dynasty this past weekend, winning his 3rd consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship, Action RC Mini Speedway crowned it's newest Mini-Z Champions! There were some great battles - and an interesting twist to the MR015 Championship! Here's the wrap-up:

MR02
Division 1: Johnathan clinched another Division 1 Championship in the MR02 class, but he certainly had to earn it, as he and Eugene both came into the last week with a chance at the title. Johnathan's win, with Eugene coming in second, assured another trophy for this amazing driver. Congratulations to Johnathan, who has proven to be one of the best Mini-Z drivers ever.

Division 2: Cropduster beat out Jim G by only 4 points to take the Division 2 title. Crop was able to drop two of his worst week's, Saturday being one of them, but Jim G, who is a new driver to Action RC, only had five weeks towards his Championship run, so he had no drops, which is ultimately what cost him the title. I have a feeling this will be the battle to watch, as both drivers have been making steady improvements. Congrats to Crop - King of the B Main!

NASCAR
What can I say - I love racing the # 41 Chip Ganassi/Reed Sorenson Target Energizer Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS with Dodge decals! (Gotta support the sponsors!) I was able to defend my Action RC Cup title, edging out Tom Sr by 10 points. Eugene was definitely in the running, but forgot his module on the very last week! I will miss the oval for the next few weeks, and have enjoyed battling a great group of drivers who have gotten better and better at running in circles. (Rectangles?) Every race was exciting, and for those who did not run this class, I highly recommend giving it a try next time. It is so much fun, the cars look great, and the competition is fierce! It's everything racing should be!

MR015 (This is where it gets really interesting.)
Division 1 - Eugene and Johnathan tied with 496 points!!! Normally, I would have had a shoot-out on Saturday to determine the winner, but because I didn't realize that with the drops we were going to tie, we are determining the winner by who had the most wins, and that honor goes to Johnathan, who won Week # 4, 6, and 8. Eugene won Week # 5. Congratulations to both drivers, who really have shown us all what an MR015 is capable of.

Division 2 - Division 2 was almost eliminated as of Week # 7 because only Jamil was left in it, and ARCMS rules state that if only one driver is left in a Division, that series is eliminated. HOWEVER - because we had an A and B Main in MR015, and Tom Sr. made the B, that gave Tom more B's than A's, putting him back into Division 2, 11 points ahead of Jamil! Tom had an awesome run against Jeff, who finished on the same lap, and Jim G, who was only down a lap by 1/100th of a second! It was a great B-Main, and a great ending to an exciting Series.

I look forward to another exciting points series starting this week - especially if we get another great turnout. The rules are on the website so that everyone knows what they are. Don't forget - this week starts the F1 class, which should be great. We have a completely different track layout this week, with absolutely no remnants of the oval! This is sure to be a great week at Action RC! See you there!

PS - For our new drivers, if you are going to be arriving late for a race night, please call me at least an hour before racing starts so that I can make sure you are in the computer. This was a bit of a problem this past Saturday, and it really makes the night easier and quicker if I have the computer done before racing starts. Thanks!

Stugotz is away in prison - I mean, boarding school - now, so he only gets to come down once a month or on holiday weekends. I don't think he can go online at his school (very strong shackles), so hopefully he'll be around more for the summer or for any winter vacations he might get.

It'll be good to have Sai and Roland back again. It looks like Johnathan is going to have some real challengers this time around. Good luck to you all!

It would be fun to do a Monster event. Some of us have them, but they are no longer available. They are coming out with some new ones soon with Dodge pickup bodies on them, which look awesome. Once they are available again, we'll look into it. It might be a fun Friday night special event so that kids can do it, too.

See everyone tonight, hopefully!

Yea, Jonathan said he would not be racing this series :( I like racing with him, helps me improve more since he is so fast. I can put my car on the track, and see if I can run his pace in practice. If I can, then I know my setup is good, if I cant... then I need more work.

i use a bunch of different bodies and dremel the rear wheel wells to fit what i need, like my 2007 350z was a 94mm body then i wanted to try it on my 98mm car so i cut the wells out and now 96mm doesn't need to be cut so now that one body can be used for 94mm,96mm and 98mm

You have been in the game for a while, not necessarily in this scale... but I dont think I am above you.

Hold on... we are running Pan this season? Or is this just for fun. I can reassembe my Pan in about 15 minutes ;) thats how long it took me to set it up at the PNWC :p I didnt have much time to work on it.

Lugntz, thanks for the encouragement. I think my biggest enemy at the PNWC was my confidence. I was better on Sunday, but Saturday I was struggling a lot (mainly with my driving since setups were good).

I found my ATM F1 shock installed it on my F1 with Disc Damper, but the body doesnt fit on with the shock mount installed with the 2 wheel bushings to give clearance for the ICS connector... What to do, grind the body or get rid of the ICS connector... I think grinding as I may want to make adjustments in the future.

The ATM F1 shock has a little too much slop, I may try the Kyosho if Al has any in, or I can take it off an MR02.

i find that r/c racing is just like golf, when you think to much or don't have that confidence you are in the weeds,
emu you have the ability and the knowledge that alot of others don't,but we here on the east coast don't have it as good as some others we have to work, not saying that anyone else in this hobby doesn't work,it just seems that everyone else gets more track time then we do because we are always working, but i also think it's because they have the access to more tracks then we do

at my shop and kenon....kyosho 20 slick r and pn 15 front
when i travel to the east coast i typically use pn 6 deg rears and pn 10 deg fronts
if the 6 deg doesnt work to well then the RR SSG work great....
and vice versa if the ssg doesnt work to well the pn 6 works well
just from my experience;)

EMU
2008.11.21, 01:10 PM
Depends on which spur is being used. With a PN 64p spur I only use 5 (every other hole). ATM or Kyosho spur; 6, every hole.

Fifty7
2008.11.21, 01:52 PM

I fill them all using a 64 pitch. My diffs are very smooth and you can barely hear all of my cars.

With less balls, you have faster acceleration and can run the diff a little tighter without having it be too tight.

I think acceleration is part of my problem. With 6 slicks and throttle bumped down a lot, the car was still doing doughnuts. At speed it's ok but hit the throttle coming out of a turn and bye bye. Jonathan was helping me last night and 6 radials seemed to help but there has to be something else i'm overlooking.

Thanks Lou. You coming racing tomorrow?

I was going to skip racing to go to a b-day party in a hotel downtown... until I found out it was downtown Albany!!! Screw that, I need to win me a race. My F1 will be interesting to see how it drives, I built it from the ground up this week, and I hope it doesnt have tweak or quirks... still need to dremel the body a little for clearance.

Frank, the increased acceleration comes from less mass in the diff. But also from being able to run it tighter while still retaining the differetiation action that you would lose by running 10 balls. Be sure to LAP your plates as well.

then there must be something else wrong because if you loosen the diff and still spun out there's a problem,as for grease if you don't use any type of lube you will burn up the diff plates and balls

what a crowd! it's cool to see so many new racers out there but the real show was watching some really good drivers go at that track. Sai & Johnathan in any one of the races put on a great display. Ditto for Al, Emu, Willy, Frank & Tommy....there are too many too mention (see Eugene's soon to come post for a full report).I agree Al ran an awesome race night once again. The extra traffic is an added challenge and maybe a drivers meeting in the beginning of the night would help brief the newer drivers (and me) on gentleman racing and driver etiquette. Basic things like allowing lap-up cars past (sorry again Al).Other stuff like don't back across the entire lane or make sure to look ahead of your car so as not to T-bone other cars at full speed. Just a thought. I know it would help me to have a quick reminder. I think I remember something like that at the Eastcoast Hobby races back when. I know Ray Murry used to do it every time down @ Alpine Lodge. -j

Just remember, I spent most of last point series working on my MR015 for stock class. Then had to convert my PNWC mod car to stock, didnt make any changes from Vegas besides putting new rear tires on before the main. So, we were both a little behind in setup ;)

We had a great battle, and I really look forward to next time. I hope both of us have better cars, and can keep closer with the leaders. Would be great to have the entire A main on the lead lap the entire race.

He knows his stuff and gives straight answers (the truth). I think he's a big asset to the mini-z community.

A part of his nature in this hobby, that I think is holding him back from producing the results that you would
expect from someone that talented is: He loves to twinkle and try new ideas every week.

Talking About trying new stuff . Al, can You Pre-ORDER me two(2) of these bodies? Thanks !

Why would Pan be a 70t class and not a mod class?

Thanks Drew. That is something I need to work on, allways tinkering... But it is one reason why I know what doesnt work well ;) Ill take a pre-order on one of those McLarens as well. Best Z body I have seen yet... I would prefer the unpainted version, but I think those will be released a while after the ASC.
Why would Pan be a 70t class and not a mod class?
Because, if it were a mod class... more cars would end up off the track due to broken parts. With the 70t or K-stock, more focus on corner speed instead of being super fast on the straight. I would prefer it to be a modified class, but that may not be as good for some of the newer drivers that cant control the throttle as well. My pan car was pretty good at the PNWC, but I just didnt have enough time to practice with it. I am going to revert it back to the Pan wheelbase (adjusted it to 102mm)... I dont think 102mm is the wheelbase for the current layouts at Action, since they have been tightened up a little without having the Nascar layout.

i think that there should be a pan mod and a pan stk class
pan mod for the fast guys and a pan stk for the beginers .... pan bodies are so much better they scoop rather than hit... and are so much stronger than an auto scale....plus it forces you to stay clear of the walls with the fear of snaggin it;)

I agree, I have allways been a fan of modified cars... The Speedy 07 / Atomic Stock motored cars are basically the same speed as the modified cars anyway. You can only use so much speed, the faster you go in the straight, the longer you have to slow down for the corner.

It took a while to negotiate for a 70t pan class... A modified pan class would be great, but unlikely.

I would think we should be able to at least run the Speedy O7 / Atomic Stock? Isnt the 70t a slower motor than those? I am running the 70t in my 015 (am I supposed to be?) and it is VERY slow!!

So basically the Pan class will be a slower 02 class with Pan body? Whats the big draw?????

Lou you are allowed to run the 70 turn in 015. Most of mthe guys run that including me. The 70turn is basically a stock motor with a open end bell.

The 70turn is a lot slower than the 07 and the atomic stock.

A word to the wise....
Pan car bodies....
The PN body is thicker and can take a beating....
The Atomic body is thinner and cracks fairly easy....
The 70t is a good start another good choice is the new speedy 07....
Not only do they scoop but ifyou run ito a reversed pan car you get a free jump ramp.....
Pan car class is extremely fun....

Really?!?!?! hmmm, well that would mean I can run my PN rear-end on my 015 and that would be sweet !!!

Al - do you have any 70t motors in stock? :):):)

I think (for what its worth) the Pan car should be "open" and let the drivers decide whether they want to run a true "mod" motor or just the Speedy07...I know for me, that would be the cheaper way into the class since I wouldn't have to do an FET upgrade since I'd would be running an unmodified AM board in my 02-based car...

Its the same topic as some tracks do for 10th touring cars - make them "open" and let the drivers decide...it very well could come down to a mod motor might be too much for Al's track, so going with a Speedy might be the better ticket...

Hi, everyone! A few quick updates for you from Action RC Mini Speedway...

1) Points Series # 24 really kicked off with bang! Twenty-four Stock cars, fifteen MR015 cars, and six Formula 1 cars started an already exciting points race. For those of you who missed last week, don't let that be an issue. You still have lots of time to squeeze in the five of eight necessary weeks to run for a Championship. Points will be updated on the site shortly.

2) With Thanksgiving being this week, we will be closed on Thursday. (Sorry!) Tuesday will be open practice as always, but we'll throw in some special races as well. Saturday will be a normal race night, Week # 2 of the 24th Point Series.

3) Reminder: The Action RC Mini Speedway 1st Annual Mini-Z Winternationals will be held on January 17th. Here is some more specific information about it:

Classes: Stock, MR015, and Pan Car "70 Turn Spec" (Normal rules apply. See website.) Random inspections will be performed to assure that everyone follows the rules.

Price: $20 for the first class, $5 each additional class

Time: 12:00 Practice, 4:00 Racing; 3 rounds of 5 min qualifiers. (Length of Mains to be determined based on time schedule. Minimum 7 minutes.)

Registration Limit: 33 drivers

Payment: Payment can be mailed in advance, charged to your credit card over the phone during normal hours, or paid in person. Payment must be in advance to hold a spot for you.

4) I will email a "Sneak Peak" of this week's layout shortly. I ran a few practice laps late Saturday night and I loved it! Don't miss this one - it's a great race track. If you are not on my mailing list, send me an email and I'll ad you.

If I do not see you this week, have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

(I will respond to some other inquiries and questions shortly.)

Maybe for the Winternationals, we could do Open motor. . . and for the points series 70t.

I like the modified classes, you normally dont hear drivers complaining about getting a slow motor like you do in stock. Even the slow mod motors are fast ;)

Hey, everyone. Sorry it's been a while. Some of you I will just never be able to keep up with on this forum, so I won't even attempt to. As I've always said, guys, if you have any specific questions for me, please email me. I could always put the answers up here for everyone to see. I'm on the computer all day, and my email is up all day, and I could respond all day, but I cannot go on the forums very much from work. You all know my schedule with the track and the day-job, which leaves very little time left over. I am so happy to see that everyone is having a great time and enjoying Action RC. Here are some responses to some things I wrote some notes on, and some more general info:

Winternats registration: Please do not do it here on the forum. Shoot me an email, let me know what classes you want to run, and we'll take it from there.

Ordering: Don't order anything on here. If I miss the page you posted on for whatever reason, I won't see your request. I try to read everything, but I might miss your request. Email works much better for this.

Point for a Pole: Eugene - Do we really need to give Johnathan another opportunity for another point? It's a cool idea if the pole sitter varied alot, but ultimately it might just make it impossible to catch Johnathan on the last night of a series. I'm always up for points suggestions, as I came up with it almost 5 years ago, but it seems to work pretty well. I just don't want to see anyone run away with it. I like it to come down to the last night.

Thank you to everyone for all of the compliments. The last thing I want to see is anyone feeling like the night is too long, so I try my best to keep it moving along. As long as everyone's batteries are ready and marshals are out there, you guys are what keep the night moving smoothly - not me. You have been doing a great job of being ready lately (although marshalling could still use some work), but, again, thank you to all of you for making it easier for me to run the show.

Driver's Meeting: Not a bad idea. I take for granted sometimes that the guys that race at ARCMS always know the routine, and sometimes that isn't true. I will keep this in mind for Saturday. Jack is right - we always did this at Floyd Bennett.

Layout Picture: I am not great at posting on this forum. I have no idea how you guys knew birthdays, how to put a picture in a response like Drew did, and now the thing I always used to select font color doesn't work from home or at work. (Colors, bold, and italics were like the only things I knew how to do!) Grant - I emailed everyone a "Sneak Peak" picture of this weeks' layout, and would be happy to add you to my mailing list. Shoot me an email and I will do it. Cody and Frank were right - we change the layout every week, and it is normally 40' x 22'. I have some layouts on-line, and always try to add some as we get good ones to post. If anyone has cool pics that they would like to share on the website, please send me some. It would be nice to have pics from your perspective instead of just mine.

Stugotz: What can I say? Nice to see you here and at the track. We actually missed having you around. (I can't believe I just said that.) You were actually fairly well-behaved Saturday. Nice to see a healthy "Fro" going, too.

Drew's and Eugene's McLaren: I have been trying to get a more specific timeframe on the new bodies, and I am having trouble getting this info from Kyosho. (They never truly know when the containers will be released to the US.) You can rest assured that when a new body comes out, I order A LOT, so everyone should be able to get what they want. If anyone wants anything specifically, just let me know and I could always get the regular stock stuff within a week, and new stuff whenever it comes out. (Email me!)

Pan Car "70 Turn" MR02: OK - let's settle the controversy. As you all know, because I have never kept it a secret, I do not run ARCMS with the intention of making the pro-driver, or "expert", happy. My goal has always been to make the intermediate driver happy, which has always made everyone else happy, both beginners and experts, in the process - give or take a few individuals. (They say you can't please everyone, right?)

Anyway, every time we have tried to run a Mod class over the last 4.5 years, which is a class specifically for what we'll call "the experts", it falls flat. It starts with about 6 cars, then a few burn up, then the experts, unlike the intermediates, decide they're not coming for, like, six weeks or whatever, and the class dies - again. Meanwhile, classes I started like MR015 Spec and MR02 with strict and limited rules continue to thrive. Why? Because I tried to make Mr. Intermediate happy, and Mr. Intermediate is the one who comes to ARCMS the most routinely. I have given the experts several attempts to run Mod, and it always flops. I have enough years behind me now to know the routine and the patterns of history. Now, let's look at what Pan Car "70 Turn" has to offer:
1) Chassis' that most of us have already. (Many of us have extra MR02's since the 2.4 came out.)
2) A $9 motor (cheap!) will keep racing tight and run without, as Eug mentioned, flying off the track. It will be a true driver's class, much like MR015. If you have seen Johnathan or Eugene's MR015s, the last thing you would call them is "slow."
3) Mod cars scare away the beginner and intermediates, and looking at how successful our Stock and MR015 classes have been, I think it's best to follow the formula, but add a twist by running the pan car bodies and offsets. The last thing we need is another attempt at Mod, only to watch it fizzle as always. Wouldn't you like to see the Pan Car class grow each week, as F1 did, NASCAR did, and a long time ago MR02 and MR015 did? A strong following, lots of entrees, and an even playing field always seems to lead to the best racing because the talent is jammed together more tightly. I know there is a counter-argument to this philosphy (There always is, and I've heard it all), but from a business perpective, a class that shrinks is unhealthy. A class that grows continues to grow, and I would love to see Pan Car follow that trend. It already has a good buzz going around about it, and we're still seven weeks away from it! In the meantime, enjoy F1!

(By the way, as I will announce more formally, pan cars must have PAINTED bodies. We do not want to see a field of white cars. Also, you must keep them 98mm.)

Kaybo - I have plenty of 70 Turn motors in stock! Pan car bodies will be in for Saturday. They shipped today, and will arrive Wednesday at my house. (Well, yesterday, now. Yawn.) Looking forward to seeing the "other" Jersey crew soon!

F1 Shocks - Were supposed to ship today from Kyosho. T'giving will screw up delivery, so they will be in next week. I have the Atomic one in stock.

Well, I think I touched on all of the major points. Again, I am sorry to fall so far behind. Thank you for sharing your opinions, and, again, for an awesome Saturday night. I cannot wait until the next one! (Tonight should be awesome too!)

This track layout looks good... I am going to get my 94mm car running ;) Although, I think that the 98mm setup should run it well. 102mm will struggle a bit since there are a lot of slower corners than most other layouts we have been running.

Should be pretty tough on the F1's. Set them up to push a bit, and ride the brakes entering the corners (thats my current F1 setup anyway). Im going to step up to a faster motor in F1... The old Speedy 05 is on its last legs... Im thinking either the Speedy 07 or Atomic Stock (leaning more towards the 07).

I just started tearing up pieces, flipping them around, and reconnecting them. Tonight will be fun to run some practice races on it. Hopefully, some of you can make it.

Frank and Vinny - I got the AWD's.

I cannot even begin to tell you all how tired I am today after staying up late to write my novel, I mean, post, but I will wake up once I get to the track. I am really looking forward to it. The FXX felt dialed on it already!

Al, I have one problem: I know that You're a busy individual, but keeping up on this forum should be one of the top priority when it comes to Your: correction, the racers track (A track without racers is not a race track).
This is for more reasons than I can list, but I know You know where I'm coming from. Most (if not all) kids today, have INTERNET access (free advertisement). Having recent media of what's going on at the track goes a long way. That's my opinion as to the major reasons as to why the hobby doesn't grow the way most would expect coupled with the fact that most track owners in the past don't keep the beginner / intermedate racer in mind .

Stugotz - You definitely did seem to improve. The meds at Belaire Acadamy must be working. "In West Philadelphia born and raised..."

Cody - The Pan Car class will only be running 98mm.

Jack - Atomic and PN Pan Cars on the way!!! These bodies look like so much fun to paint - lots of room!

Tommy - Silver brushes and more Atomic stuff on the way!

Drew - Believe me, I try to keep up, and generally do. You have to keep in mind that I am also answering emails from potential customers throughout the day, placing orders, talking to suppliers, and, oh yeah - trying to do the "day-job" as well. (And there's that pesky family of mine that keeps interfering with my life! Haha!) As far as Kaleb, yes, it would be great to have more of the little guys. I think one factor that stops that from happening is time. (I know this is the case for me. If Justin stays up late Saturday, he wants to sleep late Sunday, which means he doesn't fall asleep early Sunday night, and he is dead Monday morning for school.) Another factor is money. Building another car, paying the race fee, (even though I do usually help out the families that race together), eating, etc. - all add up. You and I both know that better than anyone. I think Kaleb is doing an awesome job keeping up with the big guys, and he is a lot of fun to have around.

Body updates: Just got some info from Kyosho! (My rep was in Japan for a while.)
Unpainted Aston Martin: No release date yet
Lancer Evo: "Any day!"
New McLaren, new Aston Martin, Nissan GT-R: End of January

Last night was a lot of fun. I think Cynthia, our newest female driver, knows more about Mini-Z's now that Ronnie does! (She did an RM/MM conversion last night with my supervision and learned alot.) We got Pete's Subaru running great, Nat's Skyline is a blast to drive with it's new aluminum wheels, Jamie and Marcos continue to get better and better, the girls are working steadily on their pink bodies, we had two first-time new drivers last night, Rob took his Mad Max-looking GTO for a spin, and as always, we had fun.

Looking forward to Saturday! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Frank, that 015 is too smooth... gotta do something to make it a little harder to drive, keep you on your toes more ;) If your not fighting the car, then your left with no option but to fight other cars on the track :p

Racing was GREAT tonight. The work I did to my F1 setup really paid off (was the only car I didnt touch this week). The F40 felt really good, but switching to new front tires before the main really shot myself in the foot at the end of the straight. The tire would hit the body and send it tumbling. Ezi had to stay on his toes anytime he saw the car coming down the straight. I could see him setting up like a catcher as the pitcher winds up...

The F355 body so far is my favorite body to use on the 015. It is very low, lots of steering, and looks great. I need to brighten it up a little. A little flourescent vinyl should do the trick. Cody, please remember to bring some next week. I know others had a harder time seeing it than I did. I think I may add a rear wing for next week... So I can go slightly softer on the front tire. I dont plan to change the body on this car anytime soon...

I am very happy with all three of my Ferrari's. Next week, Im shooting for wins. This week was testing for the 015 and 02. I think I have a good chance, if I use a taller limiter and preload the front springs a little more on the 02. 015, just going to go with a harder t-plate. I switched to an FRP when I had older tires that were pretty worn. After going with fresh tires before the main, I was pushing just a little too much, and tripoding when I went to hard into a corner. As long as I keep fresh rubber in the rear, I should be good. Al only has one more F355 in stock, after its gone... It wont be easy to get them anymore.

F1 is great. I drove my car right at the point where the rear end was breaking loose. Its hard to see when your watching, but its basically drifting every corner. The harder you push it, the better it gets (for me at least). F1 has allways been my favorite class, I just never had a car that was able to go straight, or was fast enough to keep up with the field. After swapping the 2.4 board into my backup, ATM rear end car, WOW!!! I have power, and control. The PN 20d tires trued to slicks work very well, on throttle and off. It has a hint of push off throttle, with a bit of hook on throttle. Meaning, that you can do a lot of the steering with the throtte in the corners...

The start was great, real clean. Especially for F1. The amount of room between the cars without incident was hard to believe. I swear Sai's wheels were millimeters away from mine through the first 3 corners as we swapped positions, I let off and gave him the position entering the center since I didnt want to cause a wreck. Going 2 wide into that center section on the first few laps isnt a good idea, the tires are still cold, and I wasnt sure how my car would handle the section. I tried to drive very conservative around other cars, and only pushed when there was open track ahead. In all, the race was pretty clean. Jonathan was fast, but was a little too anxious, and tangled with a backmarker as I was reeling him in. I would have liked to pass for the lead on the track, but I wasnt going to slow down and let Sai get in my draft. I think that I had consistantly faster laps than anyone on the track, although Jonathan had the fastest lap. I was closing on him a bit. Too bad the computer doesnt show the gaps, so we can really know what our lap times and gaps are during the race. To judge whether we need to push the car harder or let off a little more and run a safe line if there is a good gap.
