After a few minutes of off-roading with my Xtruck, it began to slow almost to a crawl. The batteries were freshly charged so I figured something was fouling the drivetrain. Everything was free, so I was completley baffled. As I was putting it down, I burned my self (literally,I think it's a 1st degree) on the heat sink, and that was also when I noticed the melting-plastic type odor. I have 4wd, stage 2, and the lift kit if that helps, but why is my truck running so ^%((&%( hot???

Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a fan to mount under the bed, and i have some aluminum tape I might use to enlarge the heatsink, but any other cooling ideas?

If you are running larger tires with a high gear, that can put even more load on your motor.

especially in thick carpet.

also driving full throttle from a dead stop really heats electronics up, that is the highest moment of load on the motor
