How fast is a stock firelap 2.0 vehicle ? With the I-Pro motor, how fast would this vehicle go ? What upgrades would you purchase besides ball bearings ?

I did do a search, but I could not find the information regarding the firelap 2.0's stock speed. Can you possibly point me to the thread that has this information ?

thanks.

Firelap's stock motor varies so much it is redicilous. It is comparable to Kyosho's xspeed... for the bulk of the stock iwaver motors they have been almost exactly the same as the K Xspeed.

Is it possible to mod the firelap 2.0 by adding two additional AAA batteries ? Will this kill the electronic board ?

Have you bought one yet? If not then i dont know man but i'd just spend the cash on a miniz. Miniz's electronics are nicer and you're getting a hobby grade car not a rip off of a hobby grade car. To many the only thing thats a plus is a better Tx that comes with a firelap.

I already ordered a firelap 2.0. I wanted a car for bashing around. I'll buy a kyosho in a few months for serious racing.

So I'm guessing you would not recommend 6 AAA's in the firelap ? I was going to put some lithiums (7.2v) but now I'm hesitant. Has anyone had success with 7.2 v ?

well umm.... the boards are cheap so you could give it a try. I'd just return it and save money for a miniz

Do you think 2AAA Lithium 3.7v (total of 7.4v) will kill the electronic board ?

Is the mini-z MR02 ball bearings compatable with the firelap 2.0 chassis ?

Yes, I read your post. But having 4AAA batteries fry your electronic board does not sound normal ? Maybe something else was wrong with your car ? The firelap is supposed to be able to handle 5amp ?

Hi Sylvestor2005,

In short, yes absolutely. 02 parts are compatible with the Firelap chassis.

Jonny.

Hello Jonny,

Before I buy, I just want to confirm the following bearing configuration will work with the Firelap 2.0:
ID x OD x H

3 x 6 x 2.5mm (2pcs for rear axle and 1pc for right diff hub)
2 x 6 x 2.5mm (4pcs for front rims)

Is this correct ? I'm looking at the firelap diagram and it seems like I may 8 bearings in total (not 7 as indicated above) ?

Will this bearing set have the proper bearings for the firelap 2.0 ?

thanks.
