Friday is always tough. I will try to be there. Do I have to stay for the whole nite, or can I/we (my son) race a few and split early. It won't screw up your racing brackets or anything will it.

There is always practice time inbetween races... and in the beggining we have practice after track is first setup... its upto you when you leave... if you want to participate in the points series... and get us some more club points ;) then you should stay till we at least race the main your in... or a fudger main just for you and the kid and everyone else pretending to be in it lol, so you can leave before we even know what races we are in.

Sigh... more gas for me :(

Will... I cannot find one of those little BMW's any where... I would like to snag a few :(

Still waiting on address/location so I can google myself a map :)

Thank you for the time. I can not make it this Friday. I will look for another opportunity.

I have two BMW Z-? roadster bodies. I dont use them. If you want next race event I can show them to you. Maybe make a trade or something. Myself, I want a Mustang or Focus body.

Saw those super small BMWs like Will had on e bay last week. They had 4 of them for $40 +$9 shipping and someone snatched them all up (Item number: 6057833636).

And amazingly he walked away from it without a scratch! Glad we made usage of a HANS device mandatory for this series, it may well have saved a life! :D

Will/Drac, did you guys ever find 23? I thought you were going to follow me - but then you turned off right instead of following me around the curve?!

I got on 23 the way I came... like I said I was gona do lol... the plank road ramp. At first I thought the Y in the road the way you went was the way I came because it didnt look right, but the map said it went to the ramp so I kept going and the ramp was right there so on 23 I went... I just figured u went a diff way, and that way was not on my map... Will was behind me... lol.

So they finally closed Eurotech? My dad works for Meyer's Tire Supply and was speaking with the new owner. Supposedly they opened a huge new facility (but is it no longer called Eurotech I believe).

So who owns the new place? Is this the GTG's new location for the time being? If I can get everything straightened out with my car, I may pick up an 02 and start comming back. Is that what you guys still run, or have the AWDs taken over yet?

Hey Mazda787b, the Milan location will be the location for our AA GTGs for at least awhile.

If anyone has other possibilities I'm sure we're open to suggestions.

So just curious, who owns the place/what kind of place is it?

I have a few locations in mind, but I don't think you guys would be willing to travel out here.

hobbycar
2006.06.13, 10:06 PM
Mazda787b, let us know the locations (at least what cities). Even if we don't do an AA GTG there maybe some of the guys would do an informal GTG on a different day.

Especially with Drac coming from the East side and Will coming from the northside. You might even get someone to come who doesn't come to the Ann Arbor GTGs because we are too far.

BTW, you wouldn't know of anyplace close to Woodward that would let us do something during the Woodward Dream Cruise?

Well obviously I don't have the track or CORE system, but I was thinking of getting a place to do Test&Tune for HFAY once a month. I got a hall that will rent it to us for $100. The only thing would be getting some outsiders to come. I was thinking of doing this by starting at a more kid-friendly time, but lasting until whenever.

It is in Wyandotte, MI. Rider's Taylor hosts its indoor carpet off-road track there in winter. The great thing about Wyandotte is that it is a Polish-Catholic school in a primarily Polish-catholic community. Many of the local halls (Dom Polski Bar, Polish Veterans, Kights of Colombus, etc.) are more than willing to help out members of the community.

Well I can't get google maps to work correctly for me tonight. Just go and search "Dom Polski Hall". You will get one direct match to Wyandotte, MI. All of the locations I have been checking out were within 1 mile from there.

I was thinking of doing this long before the AA GTGs came to fruition. I even was going to pick up a Mini96 to use up until I picked up my car. That has soaked up alot of my money as of late, but it of coarse takes priority over R/C.

I started buying for the MA010 today (sort of). Josh had his Pitwork 350Z ASC he is giving me. It isn't much, but it's a start. LOL

As for the Woodward Dream Cruise, Possibly. My aunt is the Advertising Director for Murrays, so if you want to set something up at 8 Mile & Woodward I guess its possible, LOL.

If anyone is willing to set something up for Cruisin' Downriver (June 24) I may be able to get something set up by then. I know someone right laong the route that has a cookout and whatnot. The worst he could say is no...

There is that Murray's right at Catalpa (12 1/2 mile) and Woodward in Royal Oak. That is a prime spot for the Dream Cruise.

I would like to go to the Dream Cruise and make a day out of it. I have never made my way there and it would be cool to run the cars around too. What if we all brought our wide L's and mini 96's and made a crazy track.....
