We moved the track to the other side so now we have a 40ft straight:

another look:

I have problems building the barriers:

Last turn b4 straight is tricky:

Go and setup your car accordingly for our next GTG. Whatever setup that works at ARCS doesn't work here. BTW, can mini-tiles merge with large tiles? There are some wasted space because I couldn't fit 3 large tiles on some sections.

We still have 2 more big boxes of RCP and are thinking of building a dual level track.

I am not really sure myself. I still have many odd-looking pieces that are unused. I need more experiments with these new stuffs.

I think you can match large with mini but you have to use special adapter tiles. Where is it? W's basement? Looks GREAT!!!

ygm...I see EMU and Michvin still run a bit...anyone else? Sai, winters are taken up with 1:10 indoor offroad truck and buggy at Raceway in Farmingdale but its time to get back into the zs (Raceway is too hot in the summer to deal with racing). I also started my own Lw Firm late lat year so my time has become damn near zilch...but like I said its time to get back into teh saddle. ISATMZs but still have a great time and I look foeard to seeign averyone again.

Viewing the track is fine from either side for us.

I dont' know who is going to ACRS. A few of us are tied up with work; some are racing in Jackson RC for a major event; some on vacation and I am not going myself.

looks like a pretty decent track....
i know some one that can beat that track size...
lol.....
do you guys use a lap counter....
or do you have someone on the side to count the laps...
=]

SaiTam

No lap counter for now. Maybe getting one later when Core straightens out its issues but even without a counter it is fun.

Sai love the track layout. So where is this track located. Would love to check it out first hand.

Track is far out West in NJ. It's private rather than a buisness so there's no regular schedule. We used to run on crappy foam mats for years until we decided to change to RCP. This weekend we are going to Maryland for Tamiya regional race. We may run next week but not sure. Check your email.

Hi Sai,
How come now it's "Dirty Jersey"? You moved? ;)

I just thought people would want to know where I race my Mini-Zs rather than where I live, and majority of my time is spent in NJ.

Always down for a PA gtg... Schlegel is always good for up to 20 people. Even if people just want to pop in.. we don't care ! Just make sure you check our calendar of events first.

http://www.dorksonwheels.com/forums/calendar.php?

We do have a small GTG planned at the Mushroom Bowl for the ORL race in September on the 17th (Sunday)... we will be setting up an RCP track and Core system on their 18th scale track indoors. Should be a blast !

Might be a little closer for some members on this site. It's about an hour and a half south of Reading.

All kinds of RC will be there... the more, the better !

Do you have the zip codes for Schlegel and Mushroom bowl?

I am planning a vacation to Lancaster, PA some time in Sept. There's nothing to do on Sundays in PA so a race would be great.

Our racers are also based in WNJ so going to PA doesn't take too long.

Directions to the Bowl:

http://www.mushroombowl.com/directions.html

We just started into 10th scale down at the Bowl, we will be running in the ORL event, and my nephew will be running the MiniZ track inside. I'm sure we'll be running the Zs as well, between heats.

I'm trying to use this event to get more people turned on to MiniZs... I've been running 10th down there for a little while now, but I still enjoy Z racing more. The action is much quicker.

The ORL event should draw a big crowd... just hope we can get a few to crossover to the darkside for the winter !

Also... there is always Thursday nights at Gasman's as well. He lives about a mile away from Schlegel.

how many cars do you race on it?
who else would i know that attends?

SaiTam

We have at most four people or four cars racing at the same time, usually there are only 3 people at a given time. Most of the people who ran Mini-Zs in HKS are no longer doing Mini-Zs BTW. This is more of our proving ground than a track for racing. We play guitar and fly heli on the side. When we get bored we go outside and do some 1/10th racing.

SaiTam
