Hey there. Here's an idea for a thread. Post your photos of your Mini-Z replicas of cars from movies or tv shows. I'll post my Knight Rider cars soon.
Here we go. Heres both KITT and KARR as well as AIRWOLF. All though technically AIRWOLF is not a Mini-Z, it is beleive it or not the same scale.

You have a Micron? I was looking at those today. I kinda want one. Is it easy to fly?

marc

Those are not easy to fly. If you live at a high altitude like I do, they won't fly. They are best at sea-level. I've seen a video of it and it looked pretty good, but he was probably at a much lower altitude than I am. I live in Colorado Springs near Pikes Peak so it's a bit high. The Micron won't fly where I live. But it's fun to add something like that to your collection. The maker Precision Heli is working on another version that has collective pitch which should help it fly better.

I'd like to get the new Porsche 935 that's coming out and repaint it black and put a tiny radar on the roof. Remember the movie Condorman? It was about a comic book writer who's friend works for the CIA. Anyway, he always tests his ideas before putting theme in his comics. So one day, his freind asked him to do a favor to meet a Russian defector "Barbera Carrera" and bring her back. So Woody, the comic book writer, designed a jet-powered car that hid inside a Gypsy tipe truck. Awesome car chase seen when five black Porsches chase down the jet powered car. Old Disny movie, but still one of my fav's.

No, but I'm still trying to find the 1/24 scale plastic toy car of the Honda Insight from the Japanese Ultraman series. Jazz was actually a Porsche 935. And with the new Lamborghini Countach LP 500 body coming, SideSwipe will be easy, Red Alert would be relativly easy, but I'd like to see somebody do SunFire. I think that was the name, he was the yellow modifed Countach with the big blower in the back. Remember him? Maybe it was SunStreak or whatever. I forget his name as he wasn't my fav.

It was not a show, it was a movie. I will post a photo of the movie cover here later.

Yep, that's the movie! Great flick that one! I saw somebody once painted the Ferrari Enzo and it reminded me of Condorman's jet car. I suppose you could take the Enzo and with some serious modifications make it look like the jet car. But good luck finding photos of it unless you can capture still's from the movie. That would be a great body for Skynet to reproduce.

nice collection

I agree. Except the yellow Countach doesn't exactly go with the theme I don't think. But the rest does! Let's keep it going, any other movie car replicas?

hmmm, never saw that movie. i'm sure it can be found in the dollar bin at any video rental place. i'll have to remember to look for it.

I don't know if anybody noticed this, but Barbara Carrera, who played Natalia in Condorman was Flatima Blush in Never Say Never Again. I think I have the character's name spelled right. She was the one that drove the red Renault R5 Turbo that James Bond chased and blew away with his pen. Remember that?

I had my local Media Play special order the DVD. I was disapointed in the fact that the DVD never showed any how-to's or outakes that most DVD's did. But the picture quality was worth it. If you can't find it, ask your local Media Play or BestBuy to order it. If they can find it on line, they can order it.

The makers of the movie should have really used a Ferrari because what they used as a jet car was a cheap kit car from the 80's, the Sterling Nova based on a beetle chassis AND with a beetle engine...

The 935's are far more better cars even if they all crash in the movie...

Great find! Thanks I never knew that. Of corse I knew it was some sort of a kit car, but I did'nt know the kit car existed. When the AutoScale Porsche 935 comes out, I'm going to replicate the one from the movie. Repaint it black and put a tiny radar on the roof. If anybody saw the movie, I'm sure they noticed a little thing on the Porsche's roof that rotated.

marc

They probably used that kit car because it was cheap. It was after all a low-budget movie.

"Well, if your hear I gather I was going faster than the speed limit?" LOL or,
"Not fast enough if you caught me!"

Actually, the 935 did not crash, he survived only to be killed in the boat seen. It was the other four 911's that got destroyed.

Thanks arch for the suggestion. But as it's mostly a 3Racing chassis, I'm going with their silver 5 star wheels, will keep you posted. You can see my chassis in the AWD thread.
