A 4X8 piece of plywood, high density foam (aerosol can), or blue board insulation (used on foundations of houses), a knife, and spray paint. Most of these items can be found at Lowes or Home Depot.

I was thinking an offroad track with rugged hills and stuff like that. No jumps though :) .

Here's what i did to make a track. Wal-mart anti fatigue mats and some spray expanding foam. I'll be using some paint with sand in it for texture and grip and scenic.

Hey cool pics saiyan. I made my track out of lightweight foam. Its pretty basic.. its got a coulpe bumps and a bridge. A very little bridge. But it does the job well. I'll try to get pics soon. It measurse3'x1.5'

The original plan was to have 4 levels. The top 2 would be smaller in that you would be able to see the lower levels with minamal searching. But now that i'm moving into an apartment :( in a few weeks i may have to change up the size and go additional levels. The higher levels would be increasingly difficult to manuever of course ;) . I found a company here that make a dense foam 4'x8'x6" sheet. I don't remember pricing, but it wasn't cheap so i'll have to figuer out which way to go once i move. Plus my current track has taken a beating  from our sunny weather and occasional monsoon and was thinking about changing it up anyway.
