Arch2b, you've asked Atomic earlier about the AR177 pcb. I noticed that the thread is already closed. Did you find any news or new info about it?

it's basically an iwaver pcb with single layer 4562 fets.

yeah, i was excited and let down all at the same time. disappointed in the choice of quality level pcb yet happy to see someone use 4562 fets installed. at that price though, we should have known... there is no way they could sell an upgrade version of the mini-z pcb with better fets at 1/3 the cost.

I purchased it. Don't waste your money. I took the fets off and installed them on my MZM. the fets are the only good thing about the board.

typical Iwaver quality... the wires were poor and broke easily, in fact the servo motor wires were broken right out of the package.

I wish it was better quality also, as the K board is abit pricey.

I ordered one of the enjoyRC boards from EGR w/ the 4562's for $30
and 3 of them from R_C_m_a_r_t for $17. R_C_m_a_r_t sent me enjoyRC lighted wheels disks instead, when I complained, they sent me 3 of the Iwaver boards, I didn't complain again. I figured I was lucky, and since they need to have their wires replaced out of the box, I figured I'd do the fets as well.

the enjoyRC is an Iwaver board with 4562's (they all look the same and have 'FDLabs' written on the board). When I got the enjoyRC board installed, no motor power but steering worked fine. I touched the fet legs with some solder, and then it worked fine. I put one of the stock Iwaver boards in an 02 chassis and it works great. I've still got 2 more to attend to, but am in no hurry. Save 'em for a rainy day... ;-).

So, if you're handy with your iron, and don't mind replacing wires, either of these are decent deals, they just need a fair amount of polishing out of the box.
