You should be able to change bodies withouth any modding at all.

You will be surprised how fast they actaully are. I think they take a little more skill to drive and setup than the racers. They feel slower but the lap times will actually be faster with comperably equipped F1.

This article (http://mini-zracing.com/blog/_archives/2006/8/20/2112872.html) should give an idea of the first hopups you can should put on your F1. It's geared slightly more towards the racers but a lot of the information is still very useful.

Enjoy.

Thank you spoon! :D
EDIT: One more question, are these faster than a stock overland? just about how fast do you think a stock F1 is running. Thanks again.. :)

Much faster than overland. I don't really know how to tell you how fast though.

they can be quite a handful for the beginner. if you have some experience with rc it will still be quite different getting use to the small scale, and the quick input that you will have.

I'm a crawler kind of guy, so this mini stuff is new to me. The going slow thing was getting old so I decided i need to go fast (for a bit at least) Hey look ma'. I'm goin' fast! (Talledega nights) :D

you won't be disapointed then. and if you want even more speed you can still upgrade to a faster motor, and still keep it safe for the stock electronics. there are numerous motors that you can use. X-speed, PN Speedy 05, PN Speedy NM, Atomic Stock, Atomic Standard are the most available ones that are safe for the stock fets. (some are more safe than others. :) )

here is a video of the F1... it's not slow if you knwo how to drive it.

you could easily get an mr-02 for an f1. maybe even an awd... f1's typically sell very well on ebay too

F1 RTR if brand new should be the same price as AWD RTR. If you don't like the F1 look, then trade for an AWD. If you don't like the "slightly more" complicated setup, then you can consider a MR-02. But for AWD, you can play drift after you get bored with the racing part ;)

I was thinking about picking up a F1, how are they compared to a MR-02 or MA-010?

You'll love the F1. It's one of my favorites. I wish more of our club members had them. we only have 3 of us, so our main focus is on the Racers, but the F1's are awesome to drive.

I was thinking about picking up a F1, how are they compared to a MR-02 or MA-010? I jsut want to say that the F1 is a great car. These cars stick to the track like glue and handle like they came out of a fantasy.
