Kyosho is proud to announce the 2007 North American Mini-Z Cup in Acapulco, Mexico. The race will be held January 18th - 21st, 2007. This race will be attracting all the best Mini-Z racers from around the world and is not to be missed.

The event will be held at the renown Fairmont Resort in Acapulco, Mexico which has two hotels on the property. The Fairmont Acapulco Princess reigns over 480 acres of legendary scenery. Right next door is the Fairmont Pierre Marques.

Testament to a superior experience and service levels, The Fairmont Pierre Marques has been named the recipient of the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award 2005, presented annually by the California State Automobile Association. Additionally, the prestigious publication Travel & Leisure ranked, in 2005, this hotel as one of the best 100 hotels in Latin America and the Caribbean, and the best one in Acapulco.

disappointing kyosho is sticking with amb-it. every mini-z cup event i went to in the past had problems with it.

very interested to see pn racing and atomic as sponsors! could this mean no more proprietary hop up requirements?!

I will be looking for a get-a-way when it's so cold here in New England this winter.

This looks to be another great event in a great place if you can afford it.

I'm making my plans now.

Pinching my pennies and what-not.

I am pretty sure you can mail stuff a few days ahead of time to the hotel and they will hold it for you.

Tim, I would appreciate an estimate of attendance mid-late December if possible.

Will there be Kyosho reps there? Will english be the language used at the event.

Thx :)

Just one question about the cup rules, are F1's with the old FET's allowed to retrofit their PCB's with the new FET's?

Best thing to do is purchase the new board. Mods will not be accepted.

How come AD band is not allowed?

Tim Johnson
2006.12.19, 05:54 PM
Ad Band is not legal in Mexico, just like the USA. Parts of the AD Band band is using Ham Radio 12 meter band, another part is using Maritime band.

Announcement

Due to the low volume of entries and racer feedback, Kyosho America has decided to postpone the Mini-Z Cup. We will be searching for a more suitable date to maximize racer participation for the event. We at Kyosho America apologize for this sudden change and we'll be posting more information in the very near future when a new date has been set.

The racers in Ann Arbor, MI are really hoping they have one in the US (or Toronto, Canada).

My personal order of location preferences for big RC Events are:

Ann Arbor, MI
San Diego, CA
Los Angeles, CA
Orlando, FL

and anywhere within 5hr drive :D
Toronto, ON (Canada)
Chicago, IL
Buffalo, NY
Pittsburgh, PA
Cleveland, OH

I can think of of maybe 10 racers that would drive almost anywhere on the east coast to race in the cup. Please line it up in the states, Me and my friends have gone to vegas florida and virginia so give us somewhere around here and will show up.

sorry to read the news however i can not say i am surprised.

please, if possible, consider an east coast location. we seem to get the shaft when it comes to racing series and events on the east coast comparatively with say, the west coast.

ny for example has a large number of dedicated racers not to mention some of the fastest that travel to many of the existing series events.
