I WANT THAT! :D.

I really wish I had the money for this stuff.

Woohoo!

I just returned from Paris a couple days ago- the orignal minis were all over the place there.

I'd sure like to see some of these older style lit bodies for full-sized mini z...

There are the same scale as Mini-Z... the original cooper, and the other micro-cars, are too small for the Mini-Z so it needed a smaller chassis... thus they made the Mini-Z Lit...

The original cooper is enough to make me want a Lit... however the price is enough to keep me from ever buying one.

Thanks- I thought the lit was a smaller scale then the mini z. Guess I've been out of the loop.

the lit is the same scale as a mini-z. unless you keep up on the info, you would not know this however as i don't hink it's clearly described anywhere which can be misleading.

yes, the price tag alone will prevent me from ever getting one of these despite loving the og mini cioper.

We can hope the price drops. I wonder why they think it will sell that high?

I'm sure the price will drop, but if there are no early adopters - the product will die. So this is one of the reasons, why I've also bought one (besides the fact, that I was hoping, Kyosho will release the classic Mini Cooper body). I was not disappointed and the performance is quite good.
The Lit is a little pricy - agreed, but so was the 01 at the beginning. Most of you have forgotten this obviously ;)
Maybe Kyosho has to pay licenses to Epoch :D

I hope this product will fly at least in Europe, where a lot of compact car enthusiasts are waiting for other bodies ...

Cheers,

Jo - who's happy, that his favourite compact car will be released ...

Yea, that was a sad moment for Bean when his Mini Cooper got smashed. Poor guy.
Anybody seen his movie, the one with Peter McNicole, or something like that. Guy from Ally Mcbeal.

Rowan Atkinson is fantastic. Watch any of the blackadder stuff?

Sorry for the OT :)

a few. I liked him best as Mr. Bean, and in A thin Blue Line. That was when he was a police officer. He was also in one of the James Bond movies as one of James assistence. But only in for a brief moment. I think it was Never Say Never Again, can't remember. You'd only recognize him by his voice and a few facial features.

All you need is to paint the Mini Cooper that specific green, a black hood, and make a tiny pad-lock on the drivers door. And you've got a Beanmobile!

I just purchased the Mini Cooper Lit ready-set and an extra body set from ebay.
However, shipping cost for ready-set from Japan is a bit high as they only ship it via EMS delivery.
Anybody think the Lit bodies will be available as white none-painted body sets?

Oh sweet! Gotta have the white one! Now I can do my Italian Job set! First one I got was the red one. Second will obviously be the blue one, then the white one when it's out! Thank's for showing us that!

Too bad they didn't make that green one a lighter green. That would have been nice for a Mr. Bean car.
Will have to wait for the none-painted bodies to come out.

That's not correct my friend - Mr. Bean had a MK II Mini and the Kyosho Lit body is a MK I - a big big difference for a true Mini lover...

OH The details! No.................as long as the paint job is the same, does it really matter?

avant

... as I've said - for true Mini lovers it does matter

Jo - who still owns a '84 Mini and who drives Minis since 1986 ...

Well ok, maybe for a Mini lover it's important. But what about fan's of Mr. Bean?

Even then you're wrong :D

Just change the grill, etc accordingly ...

These are the first pics I took still with the Fiat 500 wheels. Since that I changed the wheels. The bumpers are very fragile

Close enough for me. Just repaint it to match that green, black, hood, and fake a pad-lock on the door. Might not be 100% correct, but close enough to enjoy.

I found a model kit Mini Cooper race edition that's too small to mount on an Xmod without extensive modifications...which I'm in the process of doing. I still want a Lit though.

arch2b
2007.01.20, 06:13 PM
is it the wheelbase or track width problem?

Roketmini
2007.01.22, 06:32 PM
Width, it looks cool with the Xmod foams mounted...I'll make a thread when I upload pics.

I just got the red original Mini Cooper Lit and I love it. It's a sweet little car and handles well. Only problem is, I took it to the local RCP track to try it out. It handled fine as stated, but I think the short loop antanna gave it short range. It would only complete half a lap and stop. Need to make a longer antanna for it.
Another minor problem, easy to deal with, is the battery is hard to remove. It is a very tight fit. Anyway, I love the original Mini Cooper and I got the AutoScale version as well for display.
