in our club in addition to racing Mini-Z's (Racers, Overlands, Formula 1's) We also have monster truck races.

Here is the new addition to my small scale RC Lineup.

My Monster (VMG) (http://www.saltlakemini-z.com/Brian_Mini-Giant.html)

I had a spare F1 and Luke had an Extra Venom Mini Giant with the steering mod and servo saver added. I needed the monster to compete with a more capable truck. I was using my Mini-Z monster, but being only 2wd and smaller than the 1/20th VMG it just wasn't getting the job done. Luke needed the F1 to join in on the formula 1 races. So we made a straight across trade.

We run these typically like you would seen in the real monster truck races. we set up to identical courses consisting of a different selection of custom jumps.

A Few Pictures (http://www.saltlakemini-z.com/monster_trucks.html)

By the way these are great fun. :D Here are a couple of short videos.

I like those jumps, especially the schoolbus obstacle. I have been collecting bashed bodies for some sort of Monster trials and now I think I know what I am going to do with them!

What are the jumps and yellow cones made out of?

Everything is made of cardboard. they are druable and light. The jumps were made by Luke (clodguy). Those in the pictures as just a few of what he has made.

We also have some with a jump and a "mogul" field of car bodies.

the yellow cones were made of either toilet paper roll center or paper towel centers. He filled them with small rocks to add weight.

just a note on my body Monster body. I used the Tamiya PS paint (yellow) and all the decals are water slides and were printed out on my inkjet...it's cool being able to make whatever you need.

this is where I purchased my Decal Paper from

http://www.beldecals.com/custom_decals.html

they have both white and clear paper.

Most printers can't print white so that is where the white paper is needed.
