Is that a Christmas ornament? What scale is it and is it plastic or die-cast? If it's plastic and close to 1/28, that could be a Mini-Z body!

It is a mini-z and it came from Danbury Mint. I won't race it I will use it
for a pace car.

Would you say this is a 1/28th scale ?... thought I saw somewhere that this car is a little bigger than a 1/28th. Just curious, Thanks !

Since when did Danbury Mint build Mini-Z bodies?

Really? Sweet. I never knew it existed till your picture showed up. I've never ever seen that body advertised anywhere. Where did you or your friend pick that one up? That would be great racing along with the Cobra. What chassis is it on?

It has the same chassis as the batmobile call the Perfex.
I order it through Danbury Mint Catalog in December.
Its a great looking car I will have at the race on Saturday.

Sweet, thanks arch. I'm very surprised that Danbury Mint chose Kyosho, but very glad as well. I wonder if that will ever be offered as an AutoScale body.

I just sent an e-mail to Danbury about other color options. Also asked theme if they would do other classic cars. I'd love to see the old Corvette Stingray myselfe. Great find there Davey! And thank's again arch for the link! I might have to order one myselfe just to add to the collection!

Thank You arc2b I didn't have thier the web site on hand.
Off topic remember I ask you about putting our RC club on
this site in tracks. Is there any thing you need to get this done?

I got one!
This body is beautiful  Worth buying the old MR01 chassis (with breaks... at least) that it comes with.

that's a nice piece of kit.

I didn't even realize there were other non-kyosho/aoshima productions. Are there other body styles made by other companies?

Last saturday I decided to put that baby on the german CRC track for a few laps... Here is a video (http://alain.galluser.free.fr/Z/videos/070512corvette58crc.wmv)
The chassis is absolutely stock (MR01 with brakes) except for front 40 and rear narrow 10 Kyosho tires. Nothing broken  After removing the dust the Vette is back in its case

Thanks Arch! And congrats, Dean, for owning this amazing piece of rarity ;) Too bad this body can not be purchased separately because I would buy one just for racing (panamericana style  ). Probably Danbury is the sole owner of the patent unfortunately they don't sell the parts separately, I know I asked them

Hey thanks a lot!. I let Danbury Mint know there are people that collect these and I suggested they make a variety of them.

So did I! They actually replied back to me next day saying they will take it into consideration!
