I'm not sure if there is a thread on this or not but I could not find one! I would like some feedback on gear ratios for the mini 96. I'm running a MR-02 MM with an Atomic "Stock" motor and Atomic Diff. Any suggestions?

I never go over 6 or 7 tooth pinion on our 2 Wide-L track depending on layout, so that doesnt give you much option for the smaller Mini-96

7 tooth is a good starting point! maybe even a 6? depends how you want !the car punchy or smother ? i would try both and see what you like!

i have a 96 but with 2 expansions and a wide 45 kit so its a big track, but the 96 2 tile is very tight so i would run my self 6 tooth!

On a big open layout I run a 9 tooth, when the track is tight and technical i run an 7-8.

Thanks guys! I guess I'll start with the 7 just to be a little smoother. I still need to get used to the small lanes! Only time will tell!

I used to run 8t or 9t pinions. Most of my setups were for larger tracks, but worked well on the Mini Tile. The Atomic Stock may have too much torque with a lower tooth pinion. I would recommend 7 or 8t.
