View Full Version : RCP Track FS in NY area

I didn't know where to post this, but figured that since this track is located in the NY area, this would be best. The track is RCP, contains 82 tiles with 1 rail on them, 18 corners, 8 plain tiles, and 4 one-hole tiles (just getting this from memory, left the inventory at the shop). Basically this is located at a hobby shop in Northern NJ who just closed their Mini-Z/1:18 track, and the new owner wants to sell the track. PM me or email me at viperdout@gmail.com if interested.

whats the asking price?

I have no idea what he wants on price. He's looking for someone to make an offer. I'll take pics tomorrow. there's a stack of straightaways that's literally 6 feet tall, then a couple smaller stacks of track.

Does he have the expansion lanes? I'm quite interested. What's his track like? Wide L? Mini 96? Wide Oval? Any pictures at all?

We're not sure what the old owner ordered, but it does have expansion lanes (the 8 regular tiles I mentioned). It has more pieces than the Mini 96, so he probably ordered that and some more stuff.

Is he willing to separate the expansion tiles from the track? I'm just curious. Any word on how I can reach him? I'm very interested. Let me know.

He's looking to get rid of it in one shot. You can reach him at 201-599-0066 after about 6. Ask for Chris.

Alright, since I can't figure out how to edit the message, I'll just make another. Price is 200 obo, and I'll have pics up later tonight. The track is about 15 minutes from the George Washington Bridge.

Any way he can separate the expansion tiles? I can't seem to find them anywhere. :(

I have no idea. Call tomorrow and see what he says.

I think I've been there when he was first setting up the track. Is that in the basement of the hobby shop? I went to check it out when I was visiting my folks. He had an elevated section without any barriers on it.

I was wondering what happened to that place.

T-Bolt

Probably have. The track is in River Edge, NJ, which is 15 minutes from the GWB. Old owner sold the place, and the new owner doesn't get any call for Mini-Zs,/1:18s.

He would if people really wanted the stuff. He has a Yellow F50 MR02 that has sat for 2 years, and TWO Black Murcielago autoscales (the limited run ones) that are sitting, if anyone wants those too. He also has kyosho ball diffs (dunno if kyosho still makes them, since I've been out of 1:24 for a long time too), PN ball diffs, spring sets, etc. that are sitting. Everyone here runs nitro.

Dude, NIB. Nothing is used. He's got a bunch of Ball diffs, those kyosho dual damper setups, kyosho cf t-plates, some PN racing stuff, etc. I'll ask him if he wants to get rid of all the Z stuff (I'm 98% sure he does), and I'll get a price on it. I dunno what those bodies are worth, but he has 2 NIB also.

the hidden antennas are crap. Not trying to kill the guys sell, but they were very twitchy with poor reception. They are great for a Monster or OL that has been modified for crawling where range wasnt an issue, but anything else, dont bother.

You can make your own hidden antenna easily, just use a very long motor wire as antenna. This works for my AD Band car.

Dude, I don't care. I could never see a point in those antennas anyway since there's a hole for them to begin with.

I believe all of the PN Racing tires are 25 degrees, and I am sure all are slicks.

Just the Yellow F50, and I think it's 130. I'm not 100% sure on that though.

i'd gladly take all the track at 150 and pay for the shipping on top - it'd still work out cheaper than buying in the UK!

That is definatly worth 150$... I would take it myself if I was in the area...

Its almost $600 worth of track at new price, going by those photos...

It was a really good deal but the track was/is filty. It took me a while to get going but I have been slowly cleaning what I am estimating to be approximately 3 Wide L's. It might be a little less but I haven't done a full count yet. Also, some of the tiles are trashed.

This is what is clean so far. I vacuumed both sides then mopped. I should have just used a hose but it's been too cold. Also, I don't have any place big enough to dry everything away from the sun.

Damn dude, looks good. I'm pretty sure the original owner of the shop assembled the track upside down too, because when I took it apart the rough side was up and the smooth side was down (original lhs owner was not a brilliant guy).
