Hello. I plan on becoming a member of this club this year. I was planning on attending the race this past weekend but I lost my car's transponder and I can't find it. 15 dollars down the drain.
Plus I'm getting my new MR015 ready for the next race!

Marc, glad that you are going to join. As far as the transponders go, we do have loaners available now for this season. They are given to the racers who dont have one before each race, and depending on the total # of racers, they may need to be given back after each race so another racer can use it. We are also creating a list of who would like to purchase one or more, and as soon as we get enough, we will submit an order.

Hello. How do I go about replacing the one I already bought? I'd hate to spend another 15 for it.

Marc, It is unfortunate that you lost your transponder, I also have lost one in the past, and learning from that and buying another made me think of a way to keep track of it, I will normally either leave it in my car, or tape it in my case.
As far as replacing yours, there are only a few options. 1st would be to find the one that was lost, 2nd would be to use a loaner from our club, or 3rd would be to get on the list to purchase another one.

Thanks. I'd try the first two before spending another 15 dollars for it. Maybe when we join the club or get a season pass we should get one free transponder, and then pay 10 dollars for each additional transponder.

we velcro them to our bodies and leave them there. this way you always know where they are

I had thought I tapped it to the roof of the blue 206 I sent you. That is the last time I remembered seeing it and I've looked in my collection and can not find it. I'll do some more searching for it.

Marc,
How are club is setup does not allow for free transponders. Everything that you see in the race events were personally purchased by Davey. As far as our club fee/season pass, 60.00 for six months, or 5.00 a race is by far one of the cheapest places I have seen to race. Those fees do not come to the club, but go to the Community Center for use of the facility and support to the community. We charge an additional 1.00 per race day for track fees, which totals 13.00 per person per season, which does come to the club. This does not even cover the cost of a transponder per individual, let alone come close to repaying/replacing the 9 large L's and all the other items that the club owns or to maintain the cost of our website. I do not think it is to much to ask for an individual to purchase a transponder for racing, and if they cannot afford to do so, that is why we have loaners available, again purchased by Davey for the betterment of the club, and to help everyone to have a better race experience.
Anyway, I hope you can understand and accept this, as I would like to see you at the races.

Not a problem. I was only making a suggestion.

Suggestions are always welcome, all will be considered, answered, and some will come with long explanations (like above) that may have been worked through already.

Cool. I'm just glad I found a local club to race with. Ever since the MR01 came out, most of my cars have been shelfe queens simply cause I don't have the space to race theme at home. Only time I raced my MR01's was when I visited my brother in California and he set up a track in his garage.
Now my cars are more usefull and enjoyable! Rather than just sitting there looking pretty!

Sorry, I missed it. Daylight Savings Time had me tied up at work. Anyone happen to sketch the layout (or build it in trackmaker)? I'd love to see what I missed.

Marc, I too have lost a loved one to cancer, and can relate to the hard times that you must be experiencing now. Escaping is good, but to be with family is more important than anything during this time. If you feel that it is ok to come down for a while this weekend, we welcome you as always.
I will keep you and your family in our prayers.

marc
2007.04.07, 01:25 PM
Stupid mother nature! What's wrong with her huh? I was all packed up Friday night ready to come race with you guy's. Got my secret weapon all ready for yea. Wroke up this morning, looked ok outside, so I packed the Ford and ventured out. As I was heading out, it got worse, roads were icy, sky was foggy, snow was falling. Stopped at the Black Forest Coffee Hause for a drink, and decided to keep on. As I was approchaing town, it got worse and worse! So, I headed back home. My dad asked me to stop at the shop again to get him and my brother some breakfast. And the weather looked like it was clearing up in some spots. Then, getting worse in other spots! I don't think it knew what it was doing! Anyway, I lost the mood to go racing so I headed back home with breakfast for everybody.
Hope to see you all next time!

Wouldn't you know it, first nice weekend to make the drive and I am tethered to my desk. With the BlackBerry outages this week I am stuck sending health checks every 4 hours. I was really looking forward to both the HFAY track this month and the big oval. Enjoy the racing and I hope to see you all in 2 weeks.

Davey Jones
2007.04.23, 11:54 PM
Hey rrk sorry you couldn't make it down. You need to bring a bash and crash
body when you come to race NASSCAR. We had about 5 races and all most
all of us had some body parts or car parts fall off. But it was a blast going fast and turning left. Sorry about about the blackberry may be you
turn to blueberry and you won't have that problem. HA HA

So far this spring, the weather has been beautiful! And it was fun racing on that big, big track this Saturday.
Working on my wide-bodied Cooper, but I don't think it'll be finished for the race. Later!

Hello. Do you think we can set up a track dedicated to drifting? A track with some nice wide sweeping turns? I know there aren't a lot of us that have cars set up for drifting, but still would be fun.

Davey Jones

Hello everyone. I've been a bad boy this past year and I have to explain. When mom passed away, I've been very upset and depressed. To cope with that, I spent money that I should'nt have and purchased a boat load of Mini-Z stuff which includes all of my AutoScales, yes, every single one of theme, a few Mini-Z's, a fully loaded Micro-T, and a ton of die-cast models.
I'm very sorry, but it has been one hell of a year for all of us at home and I need to take care of things.

Please see photo's in my "Everything Must Go!" thread!
Also mention, my Atomic Mod's AWD Mini-Z originally cost me 550 dollars. That I can let go for 350 dollars.
This means, that you probably won't be seeing me at any more races this year until things are paid up. My apologies to everyone.
