***February Fun Run Schedule***

Rather than run one continuous AZGT racing season, we've decided to intersperse non-points Fun Run events every few months. So before we kick off the chase for the Season III title, Mini-AZ will hold a multi-class race day.

Bring everything you've got, we'll run 'em all!
70T (Stock FET)
43T+ (Stock FET)
Modified (Unlimited)
Formula 1 (Stock FET, 43T+)
Overland (Stock FET, 43T+)

See the attached rules for specifics.

Mini-AZ Fun Run Day

Don Jackson Enterprises / Phoenix Porsche

Mini-AZ has held its first Fun Run event. These will occur every few months to break up the AZGT season and let everyone stretch their legs as it were by running multiple classes.

This was a stand-alone non-points type of event made up of two 10min Qualifiers and one 15min Main. Just have fun and drive for the win. Thanks Joe and Hood for managing this event.

This month saw 70T Stock, 45T Stock, and Formula One classes take to the track. It was a very busy day fitting it all in, and a lot of fun getting cars out there that we otherwise don't often see. Hopefully next time we'll see some Overlands show their mettle too.

Every Saturday night at 35th Ave and Thunderbird, Speed Sports hobby shop holds R/C racing in the parking lot from around 7-10pm.
http://www.speedsportsusa.net/

On April 21st Mini-AZ will hold a Demo Day with a track setup beforehand in the fenced off track area. Spectators and drivers are welcome to have a run on an HFAY layout to record official Time-Attack times, or race in a group for a simulated OLPS run.

We expect to have the track open from about 6-7pm. After that the area will be opened up to full track size for the nights larger scale racing.

The Phoenix weather at night right now is absolutely perfect. Hope to see you all there.

(Note: If you wish to take part in the larger scale racing after 7pm, you need to sign up beforehand at the store).

We have a Fun Run Day scheduled for the Speed Sports indoor track on Saturday the 21st. It'll be an informal day of racing different classes. We're taking advantage of the big 1:10 scale track space and putting up the Indianapolis F1 USGP circuit (improved RCP layout).

Details and links at www.Mini-AZ.com

Hope to see you all there.

Billy C makes the custom bodies and runs some really cool stuff.. They are usually Tamiya models that he adapts to use on the Zs..

I am sure Dusty has some more pictures of Bill's custom cars on the Mini-AZ website..

I'm gradually adding pictures and stuff as I build the new club site. Eventually the gallery will be located there.

Here are a couple of Bill's other creations:

The Porsche 936 was a bullet, but eventually succumbed to a high speed collision.

I just figured we'd divide up teams on the day for anyone not already on a team.
