Seems interest in Mini Z drag racing is picking up. Like to see more of what you have going there. That 'stang look's good with that stance.

arch, nice pics. That's technically not an I-Series now. ;)

arch2b
2007.03.09, 08:18 PM
yes it is;) i transplanted the i-series pcb into an empty 02 chassis. it's a very easy conversion. all you need is an 02 chassis parts kit and the pn 015 bars.

Hammer

I know, I have all the parts and I'll be building mine this weekend. So you think we'll be able to get away with calling it an I-Series when it's actually an MR-02 chassis?

chassis has absolutely nothing to do with it. there are i-series mr-015 as well as mr-02 so what does it matter what chassis i put the pcb in? to make my point even further, if you put an ad-band pcb into whatever, we still call it ad-band so again, what does it matter what chassis i put it in?

At any rate given that, I'll be building a new chassis for my I-Series this weekend. ;)

only one thing that makes an i-series, an i-series, is the pcb. Check out the Inside i-Series thread. You can see one torn to bits.

My opinion is the stock tires are spot on, if you use the included option soft tire with the stock tire.

arch2b
2007.03.10, 07:50 PM
the car with stock front and soft rear drives alot like an f1. with some suspension tweaking i think the combo would work well.

i'm just glad k. is offering something period unlike the classic tires. it would be great to get some softer fronts as well though as an option.

I got my Nascar racers ready to play with. I haven't had a chance to drive them yet because my track is in storage. I'm battling a serious illness and have temporarily moved in with family so they can help out. But that's another story. I'm really looking forward to seeing how these handle. I bought the soft tire set for them too, but left the logoed tires on for pics.

It's soo great to still see nellys out there in the wild rlc. Good toalso know that it works with the i-series PCB with no issues. :o

Well Matt, It's not an I-series board. I converted an MR-02 chassis to take the Nascar body, but the Nelly is still working fine. :D

If this is an MR-02 PCB, you should post in the MR-02 forum vs the I-Series forum. ;)

Sorry, to hear of your illness. :( Hope you get well soon. :) If this is an MR-02 chassis, you should post in the MR-02 forum vs the I-Series forum. ;)Yeah I argued with myself over that one too, but the other car is an I-series, so I ended up posting it here. The post is more about the Nascars than the chassis and since they are I-series, I thought I was OK. The only other option was to split it into 2 posts. I'm sorry if it was the wrong place. Mods, feel free to move this if I've messed up. :o

i-series designation has nothing to do with chassis type and only refers to pcb.

Here are my two Nascars. The #29 Harvick has my basic setup with bearings, metal locknuts, and the 3Racing rear mount. Everything else is stock, as these will be run by the young ones. The #99 Edwards is still sealed up as I just got it in. The idea is to keep both of these matched up so that both drive the same. I tried the mount to see if it would work with the 102mm wheelbase Nascars, and they do at the last holes on the chassis. And I get to use all the stock parts motor, diff, and the shock all fit with no trouble at all.
