... as the Baja Beetle on the monster is a no-go for me - I've tried the Baja Beetle body on the OL and yes - it works !

Dang, too funny, I was just about to post this. I like the lower look of yours. Mine should be a decent crawler. How did you mount yours? I ended up using some monster stays and putting the body mounts up pretty high in the body.
I had to cut the liscense plate off to clear servo case. I look forward to seeing how your project progresses.

avant,

that looks great. can't wait to see some paint on it. were the overland body clips a direct fit into the bug body??

I tried OL clips at first and the body was too narrow for the clips I had (BMW) maybe a different set (thinner) would work better.

Avant, beautiful stuff as allways!

But, were in the US can I get this body? I want it for a Xtruck crawler, or possibly a MR-02 crawler..

RC-Kenon has them right now. Any Kyosho Dealer can get them.

I didn't have to cut the license plate off - I just used hot air carefully and pulled the front part a little. Additionally I've dremeled the interior part of the the front - et voilą, a perfect fit even for the rims with even more offset ... (OKOK, I've dremeled also the interior fender a little ;) )

In regards to the stays, I've dremeled nearly all the interior parts of the stay area away and I've built a OL-like stay with carbon plates - that's it ...

Cheers,

Jo
