Hi everyone,

First of all, sorry for my english ;) .
My name is Ivan, i'm from Spain but now i'm living in Italy and i want to present you my first project. It's (i think, i've never seen something like this before) the first Mini-Z Crawler chassis in the world.
It uses stock dampers (you can use oil dampers perfectly without modifying it).
There are just small modifications to do in the axles to fit everything.
Now it's using a Mini-T ESC but it allows to use also Mini-Z ESC or separate components ESC.
The body is a Toyota Hi-Lux Tamiya 1/32 that now is matt black with blue police lights.
It's almost finished, it just needs some small modifications and i will post the plans to do it.

Hi,

Thank you for your answers.
I think the plans will be ready in the next weeks, i did it on Ilustrator (no autocad or solidworks for this project, sorry) so the plans will be high resolution images to print on adhesive paper and then to cut it on the carbon fiber (or the material you choose).
I will try also to make a tutorial in order to modify the axles.

Thank you very much!

Thanks for the comments!

Video? Unfortunately i took it yesterday for the second time and i broke the front knuckles and the rear rims   . The new chassis is very very hard but the normal plastic components not :D .

I'm looking for the GPM red alluminium knuckles, someone knows where to get it?? It's out of stock almost everywhere

Ciao!

Looks good!
I'm thinking it might drive better in reverse, unless you made it AWD, I see no driveshaft going to the front.

Can you get some close up pictures without the wheels or the body on?

This project is not AWD, so it's normal if you don't see any driveshafts going to the front :D . But i think it's a very good start-point to make one.
I hope i can take some new pictures next weekend and new videos when the pieces from HK will arrive (it's just impossible to get something in Italy  )

Bye!

Ivan, man you did a really good job, that little truck is so cool.. I'm surprised at how much articulation that little truck has.. With that much suspension travel, that thing must be able to get in and out of a lot of places, even with 2 wheel drive.. That truck looks to me like a smaller version of Venom's Mini-Giant/A-Tech Mini truck.. I also like how you used the Tamiya mini Hi-Lux Toyota body.. Very innovative.. Once again, good job!!

WOW , amazing work,i have some parts to use : i will do a crawler!!!!!!!!

i just need some parts to start the project :) i have some questions :
have the final plans of the chassis and shock mounts ?
do you use the stock steering servo or another ?

the only thing who is is bad on your cralwer are(for me ) the tires : too larges ,i've tried this morning to cut the rims :

Very nice work! The chassis is great, and I'm surprised you used a 4-link. It's a very cool crawler for sure. How does it perform with 2WD ?

My monster was pretty capable with 2WD only, and it didn't have many mods at all.
