My birthday was yesterday and i got an OL, but sadly it broke the rear gear box where the shock mounts, from a one way ticket down a flight of steeps, it still works but i just ordered an alloy piece to replace it. what i wanted to ask was what are the main pieces i should up grade first?

Thanks

there are plenty of suspension mods posted here to look thru.

carry some replacement shock mounts. these things were made for indoor use so expect broken parts when treating them roughly;) other than that, have fun with it, they can be a blast!

if anything the rear and front gearboxes. if you go all out, the shok mounts as well. it all depends really on how much you want to spend. you go go all out with lots of aluminum or keep a few extra stock parts handy.
going wiht lots of aluminum will slow down your truck, it adds alot of weight.

i am going to go basically all out i want to weigh the truck down because it is going to be an indoor crawler my budget is as much as i get. i ordered a gunmetal grey rear gear box but i can only find that and the under guard in that color but thats it, where can i find the others in that color? thanks

your best shot in the u.s. is to submit a support ticket to the shop here.

the aluminum underguard is a waste of money
the aluminum servo saver is a waste of money

i almost finished this chassis in red.

Nice Overland truck arch2b. This question might have been asked many times already :p But what does that clear plastic on top of the chassis do?

i am going to get bearings but not now, i just want to know what the milled ball thing is and if that is the same thing as the pillow ball thing. for suspension i am going to get an extreme rock machine.

that was a custom 9v batteyr holder for the custom made light set :)

the milled balls are for the pillow balls that connect to the suspension arms on the shock mounts. they are much smoother than the stock ones however if you simply polish the stock ones your good to go. also, polish the swing arm rods;)

gpm shocks suck big time. they are simply way to stiff, more waste of money.

the aluminum batteyr covers are a waste of money as well

I also found that you can use marvins mystry oil and put it on the pillow balls and swing arms and its alot smoother.
