I had a scary experience with an IS300. Before I got my MR-S I test drove an IS300. I was driving down a very busy street, but there was a quite a distance from the pack of cars in front of me. So I floored it to see what this thing could do. But the pedal wouldn't come back! I tried everything I could, but it wouldn't stop. There was no shoulder to pull onto. Luckily right before I would have hit the car in front of me at a red light, I was able to pull into a right turn only lane, hit it in neutral (instant redline) and shut off the power. I started it again and everything was back to normal - but the point is I didn't buy the IS300 after that!!!

It's a Toyota. But I'd get a BMW 325i(maybe a 330ci) if I had that mucho money to spend.

If it has to be a BMW then it has to be a 2002 Ti :)

It's a Toyota?? Is that a bad thing?? Nothing wrong with Toyotas to me :)

Sounds like what happened to my corolla a few years back, but probably not because the IS300's pedal returned after you shut it off. My dad was driving the corolla, when he started freaking out & the pedal wouldn't return to idle. He pushed the clutch in & shut the car off so it wouldn't over-rev the engine, but he couldn't figure out what was wrong. We popped the hood and I pulled the throttle cable back through the housing and somehow, the cable got thrown off the throttle body pulley and kinked inside the cable housing. Weird stuff....

Sorry Russ but I'm not a huge Toyota fan, except their Celica. I like the is300 looks but I jus don't think Toyotas r Relibile, but maybe I'm wrong.
