i'd love to make one of those d1 cars. where can one find the decals in the right scale?

the sound volume/quality was horrible though

That was great. What's D1?

D1 is the sanctioned racing class for drifting. Kinda like the F-1 series, but its D for Drift :D

Great vid. I'm with Arch on the decals, I'd like to get some myself.

Does anyone know what S15 body they're using in the video? Fujimi, Tamiya?

Also does anyone know what light kit does the blinking effects?

That's a different video, but it's still very cool. They're all VW Beetles!

glowmasta makes a very good light kit that does all kinds of blinking, winking, etc.
atomic might carry it or something similar.

submit a support ticket to the shop as i know they got some samples atleast of some good priced kits that varry on blinking options.

i'd love to make a serious looking drift only body;)

 Ya if Kyosho were to release some D1 bodies for the MA-010 then i would be all over them :D . I run a Pro4 in 10th scale and i run it in a drift class and would just love to get the other guys here into drifting their AWDs.

The vid is great and some of the angle shots were very creative, xcept for the choice in music, i thought it wasn't a good fit.

At our race club we have several people with 10th scales and I love drifting. I tried to get the other guys into it but they never hit it off with the lack of traction like I did.

considering k. home turf, the awd and drift parts you would think it's a natural lock but i guess there are other circumstances? i mean there has to be for it to make any sense at all for kyosho not to be doing the d1 series. could be any number of things like licensing etc.

these definitely arent tuned up mini-z bodies, maybe the rx-7 yeah, but i wonder where they got the bodies from. they could be 1/24 scale bodies. i wonder if they're diecast models, but i doubt it

I know Aoshima makes a couple of D1 model bodies, but they are a tiny bit bigger than the Z

D1 bodies are mostly 350Z bodies

I'm pretty sure those are Aoshima 1/24 scale models converted for use on the MA-010{AWD} Mini-Z chassis.. The reason I say that is because Aoshima makes a model kit version of almost all the D1 drift cars in that video,{blue Greddy FD RX-7} and so on... In my opinion I'll bet the AWD Mini-Z with the longest wheelbase extension should come pretty close to matching the wheelbase of the Aoshima model kits.. Has anybody tried this??

I tried on an xmod, and it almost worked. It probably would, but I gave up when I got my Zs... :D

i bought the aoshima 1/24 model kit and it can be fitted to mini-z AWD by extending the chassis to 106mm.

managed to fix the aoshima rims to stock mini-z rims also but the only thing left is which drift tires will fit the aoshima rims? will micro RS4 drift tire fits?
