Got a question. What motor mount and setting is required to run the Toyota Altezza on the MR15 chassis?

same as it was for the mr-01 expect maybe for the rear wheel offset.

Ok, so I know it's the long wheel base setting, but question is, which motor mount as the MR15 has three. Obviously it's not the HM type, but is it RM, or MM?

94mm rm with 0 offsets narrow wheels all the way around. The only bodies that are mm that I know of for the mr15's is chevy caprice, chrysler 300, honda and toyota vans, and the nascar bodies.

Isn't the Porsche also MM? Anyway, thanks for letting me know. I plan on building my MR15 with all or most all Kyosho items. I've already found a smoked skeleton chassis set, tie-rods, and blue screws. Next I'm looking for is Kyosho's blue aluminum motor mount. I thought I saw one from Hobby Japan on ebay a few days ago, but it's gone now.
Also, anybody know where I can find GPM's blue battery clips? Does anybody have a minty fresh set that they no longer use?

All porsche bodies are rm. 911gt3 is 90mm rm, 934 and 935 are 86mm rm. If U want to give a try or U already know U can fit the altezza on a mr02. Sorry I don't know anyone who carries those battery clips at the moment but I'll keep an eye out.

Thank you, I am setting up my MR15 as we speak. I found some ball bearings laying around but seem to be short one. I dont' know who made theme as it's been a while.
Pic's coming soon...................

Sweet. I just found some items from the shop. I found Kyosho's blue alloy motor mount, blue knuckles at 1 degree, and their blue differential. Still looking for Kyosho's ball bearings.
Another question for you, is the H-plate the same between the MR02 RM and the MR15 RM?
I'll post pics of my Altezza tomarrow.

with kyosho parts, the altezza uses a long setting rm... with narrow rims all around..

there's a special third party motor mount (i think atm or was it pn) that will allow you to use a mm configuration for a long setting...

got a second hand z from h.k. with this type of set up...

hope this helps....

Hello. For this project I'm not interested in 3rd party stuff with the exception of my ol Atomic alloy wheels which look really good on the car. I have noticed before that the Altezza can handle what I think they call semi-wide wheels with a zero offset at the rears.
Anyway, did not get an answer as to weather the H-plate is the same for MR15 as it is MR02 RM.
Speaking of MR15, I am about to sell my Mini Cooper S with it's clear chassis and red bit's. It's mostly GPM, but has a PN motor and run's real well too. I need to sell it to cover the costs for building my Altezza.

U can swap most parts between an mr15 and mr02 including h-plates. The only things U can't swap is tie rods, the cover plate for the electronics, and of coarse battery clips. Other than that everything else is interchangeable.

Atomic makes a motor pod that allows U to run a 94mm mid mount configration instead of a rear mount.

Thank's guy's. I've already mentioned I found the motor mount I wanted in this shop.
I figured my Kyosho-spech MR02 handles so well, I'd build the MR15 same way.

Sweet rides marc. What offsets are U using on the altezza?

Hi there. The Altezza has I beleive 0 offset all around with semi-wide's out back. These are old TopCad wheels and were the 2nd set of alloy's I've purchased way back when I got my first MR01 hopped up. When the MR01 came out, I got the yellow Altezza and later replaced it with a white one. I got these rims, clear chassis and blue alloy.
I just really like how these wheels look on the Altezza. The Subaru has 0 offsets narrow all around Tagu wheels.

Cool wheels. I have a yellow altezza but can never bring myself to ever race it, its just too beautiful of a car to destroy, so its sets up on the self with the rest of my collection.

Well for me, I can't stand yellow cars. I only got the yellow one cause it was the only one the local hobby shop had at that time of purchase. It was my very first Mini-Z and was a lot of fun. Then when I saw the white Altezza, I had to get it. Now many years later, I'm looking for another white Altezza to race.

Purchased a bunch of MR15 parts at local shop, and they should arrive next week. I'll post pic's of my build-up when I get'em.
I've ordered just about every optional part Kyosho has to offer for the MR15.
Smoked skeleton chassis with gold terminals, blue screws, blue wheel nut's, blue RM alloy motor mount, H-plate set's, blue 1 degree knuckles, tie-rods, ball bearings plus differential, and oil-filled shock.

Hey arch. I use the Photobucket host copy-past to post my images. I may have deleted some in my photobucket earlier while cleaning things up.

Is it possible to delete this thread since I no longer have this Mini-Z?
