How are you going to see the cars on the far end of this monster.. I have run some large tracks, but only about half of what you are talking about.

Visibility might be an issue with this large of track unless you have a high drivers stand.

I still am excited to see pictures and a full race description.

We are going to have copliots with binoculars. HA HA. Yes we have set up lg tracks in the past. We race HFAY track one weekend and the outher weekend we set up a lg track. and yes we do have some problems see the other side of the track. Especially when you get as old as me and your peepers are not as good.

Hello Davey, it's me. Question, not only is visibilty going to be a problem for some, but what about range? Won't cars with not so good range stop half way around the track?

I guess if range is a problem, them we will just chase the cars around. That will solve the problem of seeing when they are far away.

Well if you have a Black Car, the car got lost. We race in a Lg JR. Gym
and we stood on top of the bleachers. We are now in our club points chase
race and we 7 cars on the tack. We race stock and F-1 and we do
Time Trials. Our lap times were 40 sec. But we and a good time and
everyone like the big track.

It was a fun track, but range was an issue for some. Had to stand on the high bleachers to get any kind of a range. My car's stopped half way around that track!

holy mother of track..... that is a big one.... 40 sec lap times eh? how long did you have the heats, 5, 8 min?

ghostrider
2007.06.22, 12:51 PM
we were running 8 min heats.

Davey Jones

Yes it did take some time to put up. The hardest part of driving the track was the start finish lines, all put in a roll. It was like driving across a picket
fience. You almost lost track of your car. It was like blinking 20 times.
The nice thing was alot of the racer stay behine and help us tear the
track down and put it up.
