the best battery case i've ever found were 45 shell cases. tehy come in 25, 50 and 100, aaa's fit perfectly. to top it off, the 100 count case is less than $3.

Yeah, Arch is right on there, me and a couple of fellow racers in D.C. use the MTM Case-Guard P-50 44MAG, 45L.Colt cartridge holder boxes.. They're really cheap.. The ones we use are smoked/gunmetal colored plastic...

II use two methods to carry AAA cells. The first is a four-cell box from Radio Shack. These boxes have an on/off switch and leads to use with a charger or discharger.

The second method is a small tackle box that holds up to 9 4-cell packs.

actually, i usually run out  between my son sucking them down in his drift awd and running both hfay directions in one day can really take a toll. we typically run 8-10 races in a day including qualifiers. i'd rather have a few extra than come up short :)

besides, our club went in on a group buy and got lots of batteries for very cheap.

I think online or at any sporting goods store that sells ammunition. I bought mine for less than $2 and it holds about 12 sets of batteries.

Probably not a whole lot of gun shops where he might be from.

This came right off the cover of mine.

EDIT: Scroll down to E50-45, thats the one I have. It can hold up to 50 batteries. If you scroll up to P100-45 I assume 100 batteries.
