I found this one eBay but I don't know if this is safe to use. I looked at it, it looks good but how do the batteries connected to the Mini-Z? It looks so confusing... Can someone explain how this battery pack works?

Thanks

**please do not subvert the filtering** all you have to do is post the item number and any monkey can find what your talking about :)

It's probably Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer. These battery packs are rechargeable, and provide power and punch, along with long run times. They retain their energy for long times. They store more energy and they are lighter because they operate at higher voltages so you use less cells, making it lighter. But you do need a new charger made for it, and there is a dangerous possibility they can explode. Perhaps other more educated users can expand this to more than my basic knowledge from owning a pack. You can check wikipedia.com for more.

EDIT: Hey aimfox, maybe next time, you can just compile all your questions in one thread, and update it. I did that for my AWD, and with others permission, if your question relates to their thread, you can post there. Also, use the search feature, it's great, and most topics and questions have been covered before. The FAQ forum here has a lot of info! :D

Should I buy it for my Mini-Z? It said brand name is Team Losi.

But still, I don't get how that connector is plugged into the Mini-Z.. still a bit confusing and the guy has like a lot of negative feedbacks.

I wouldn't put lithium in a Z, it's not worth it. Do a search and you'll see. Maybe on xmods, but not Zs. It's impractical, unless you want to break some speed record. :p I don't think you should buy it. it connects replacing the battery wires.

That's what I thought too. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

I put LiPos in my mini z and it works fine. With the stock motor its fine. BUt now i have a CHilli and stacked fets and its really hard to not run into things. Cool for drifting.

And the connector your talking about, you need to wire in a Male or female on your board to use lipos. I wired it to the back if the battery pack so i could use normal cells if i wanted to.
