i've seen people use regular 4 cell battery packs with some kind of white capacitor in the back and an led. anyone got info on this? i never bothered to ask them how to make it. probably wont tell me anyways

yeah but one thing to remember if you decide to go this route, is that when discharging Nickel Metal Hydride batteries you DO NOT want to completely discharge the cells, that will kill them in a hurry, all cells can be safely discharged to 0.9 volts per cell, so a complete 4 cells should only be discharged to 3.6 volts, as I said you go below that and you will damage your batteries and end up buying new ones so please keep this in mind
