Well, now it's mine! LOL!
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g184/marq74/DSC07228.jpg
I plan on rebuilding it to match my Miss America Micro-T. So far, I've ordered a clear skeleton chassis set, allloy five star wheels which match perfectly the ones on my Micro, and an alloy rear gear box set in blue. I plan on removing the blue color on the wheels as my Micro-T's got chromed ones. I've heard Easy Off oven cleaner is best for removing the anodized finish? Question is, will it tarnish the aluminum finish, and how would I polish it back up?
Second question, is the skeleton chassis kit easy to do on the Monster? So far, I've done it on AWD, MR01, MR15, MR02, and the Lite. Monster any easier?

nice mzm!i recently installed the skeleton chassis on my overland, i know theyre abit different but you have to make sure the servo and pot wires go in right- theres a slot and i found it tricky to get them in there. i ended up filling the slot bigger. also the power switch and power wires are abit fidly, but after a few minutes they go together ok.

microracer's is out of the parts I ordered and I didn't have cash to send theme so I'm out of luck on those parts. I think I just might go all Kyosho on this one as Kyosho parts seem to be easier to find than GPM's alloy. Plus on the truck, the alloy makes it heavy. I usually do alloy on the cars, but the alloy is smaller and seem's lighter. I think on the truck the parts are bigger and heavier. I could be wrong, but I still think going all Kyosho would be better. All clear chassis with chrome bit's, blue screws, and gun-metal alloy.

I had the same problem trying to order front/rear gear casings for mine.
I ordered from hong kong in the end and they only had the front one in stock(rear is on order too) and they are 4x the price of the overland ones:mad:

An update to my Monster. Just totally disasembled it peice by peice for complete rebuild. Just found a TON of red alloy from RCX, still looking for a few more bit's like the alloy rear gear box housing. Also wanting to know if I can install the 2.4 GHZ system in it. I'm not good with soldering so it'll have to be a bolt-in project. Would be nice to have a glitch free show truck!
Not sure how I want to do the body. Right now it features that chromed body which could look good with the all red chassis. But I'm thinking of a mean red body with some sort of devil theme. Monster Diablo! No, not Lamborghini Diablo, just Diablo.
Here it is in kibbles'n'bit's.

So yeah, this is my mini-z Monster. Had a lot of fun with this thing over the years, broken it so many times it's ridiculous. But it's up and runnin' now after a few years on the shelf.

I have been circling around breathing new life into my mini-z for over 4 years out of all my monster trucks best ratio of fun per dollar .. this is what it looked like before i put it away in box.. had project fusion upgrade stretched it out to just over 7" long on chassy ....mods not in picture modified steering set-up to use pico servo used my mini quake esc and shocks on truck .. now going modded but a little more mild with more alloy parts and custom body in the works ...here are old pic's though ..
