I'm working on converting my F1 to 2.4ghz(spektrum). I'm using the spektrum micro rx, novak gtx esc, and futaba s3154 servo board. I'll post pics later tonight.

Good luck with the fitment....I tried a conversion similar to yours with a Mamba BL esc and couldn't find enough room to make the Spectrum RX to fit.

Looking forward to seeing your results!

Nice to see a 2.4Ghz conversion on a F1 but are you sure you are using a Novak GTX for this project? That's too big.

The GTX is the only esc I have right now. I just experimenting since converting my AWD to Spektrum last week. It sticks out of the body and so does the receiver. I'm looking into the spinner esc for later projects.
Stay tuned for pics later tonight. (I hope I can post pics on the board)
I'm new here, can you post jpeg or does it need another format?

Can you post your 2.4Ghz AWD too? I would love to see what you have done. :)

If you can wait a couple of months, we'll have the solution for you... ;)

you gotta tell me what's coming. i know that there is a dsm mr-02 coming out, is that what you mean?

That's the one...hopefully the board can be integrated into other vehicles without dilemmas. I'd like to have a 2.4GHz F1 without the fitment issues. ;)

Pictures are attached. Still need to finish wiring and attach servo board.

Oh no... :o

I rather have a normal AM/AD board on there...

You sank my battleship! :D

We're planning on doing something special at Reflex regarding the new 2.4GHz Mini-Z's. We will be offering the 2.4GHz board waaaay before Kyosho will ever offer it to the public. I know there are a lot of ppl out there that want to run 2.4GHz AWD and F1 and can't wait for Kyosho to bring them out a year from now! :D

Just found trouble for all of us that want to convert F1 or AWD to run Kyosho 2.4GHz PCB Boards... the binding button is on the top of an MR-02, which means it's on the BOTTOM in an F1 or AWD install. We'll have to figure a way around this once the boards come in. Hopefully the button is a through-hole (not SMT) and there's nothing on the other side of the board so we can just flip it.
