I set up my track in my gararge and I get some static on the mats and I was wondering if it affects how the car handles? the car seems to loose control at certain areas on the track and i notice that it only seems to happen on cool clear days like it is today. If so is there and remedy for fixing it?

Could it be because of the temperature rather than the static? If it is because of the static it might be because the static is attracting dust or something like that

Static guard spray.....(stuff used on clothes for static cling)
spray some on a paper towel then rub the bottom of the chassis. You can spray it lightly inside the body as well. We have been using the spray for our AD boards(they shut down from static) for a while now. It really works.....
