I might be going there sometime in March. So, where is the closest track to the strip?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if they still have a track setup or not, but there was a track in the "exotic cars" in The shops at Ceasers Palace. I have raced there before, but that was about 2+ years ago.

I don't beleive that was TNB's track at Ceasers. I have raced with him, he did help the store get setup with a track though.

they were selling Mini-Z and Tracks at one time.

I built and supplied a track for Exotic Cars of Ceasers Palace. I believed they used it for about a year and let the public run Mini-z's daily. They also sold RCP Tracks and Kyosho Mini-z's from the store. I don't believe the track is there anymore.

The last time I was at Exotic Cars, they had similator type games set up where the track used to be located. They also started selling NON-Exotic type merchandise, i.e. Ford, Corvette, etc. and were still charging to go back where the cars and motorcycles are located (with the exception of the few cars in the merchandising area). BTW, that last photo looks very familiar and thanks for the head's up. There may also still be a few other photos from the warehouse and from Exotic Cars in my old MZR gallery.

Thanks. I've basically parked my R/Cs and been taking pictures ever since--there is a small sampling on my website (TNBproductions.com) with the exception of some older LPGA photos and NASCAR photos from this past Sunday.

Unless you count the Mini-Tile 96 I have stashed in my storage closet, probably not. Of course, there are several other types of R/C tracks (onroad and offroad) as well as the local speedway (LVMS.COM). 2008 Silver State is also coming up in March which is usually a good size R/C race with lots of pro-drivers. This year's race will also have a couple of HPI Baja5B heats.

Thanks. The photography keeps me busy. It's just too bad I don't take the time to do more with the website, well sort of anyway.

I had my old track set up in a warehouse for about 6 months and even though I let everyone run for free, I still couldn't get a lot of MiniZracers to show up. Of all the people around, the one member who probably appreciated the track and time spent was one of the members from California (NML). Some of the locals would show up not to race, but to try and sell their Mini-Zs. A couple of others wanted someone else to help support their habit (parts, tires, etc.) and pick up their trash. Others just didn't want to drive across town because of gas prices. I could have opened it up to Xmods and even had some visits from some of the store managers, but I didn't want to babysit and figured that a certain franchise could promote its own products since they too sold RCP Track.

Indoor electric (of any size) is just not that big around here since the weather isn't that bad year around--basically, the only time R/Cer's want to go inside is during the summer when it is 110F+ degrees outside. The LHS which had both an indoor onroad and offroad track also closed. The other LHS which did have an indoor track removed it and has since relocated the store to a smaller building.

For that matter, electric doesn't have that great of a local turnout whether it is indoor or outdoor. The only exception is for the International Indoor Carpet Championships, which has been hosted by the South Point Hotel & Casino for a couple of years now.

Damn, I miss those days when we'd race from early evening till ????. Hope to see you TNB, when I visit my folks in Vegas.

Btw, email me your number....lost my phone, along w/ my contacts.

If you're ever down here in SoCal, RCkenon is waiting for you, and so is Yasuji's GIANT Track! You have a place to stay here, TNB.

This is a little off topic but is there any 1/10 on road tracks? ;)

5AM or so? That was so funny when you realized it was 5AM after running since around 6PM. I'll email you my cell number soon.

One of nicest onroad tracks in the country is located in Silver Bowl Park near the football stadium. Here is a link to one guy's site who pretty much runs the onroad racing at the park. http://www.4acesrcracing.net The photos on that site may give you an idea of the track and there are a couple of layout diagrams. I did have a few 1/8th scale ROAR Nat photos on my website that I took at that track, but when I redid my website, I forgot to upload them with the new photos--my photos are close up action shots anyway.

If there is an onroad race, the offroad track is closed next door and vice-a-versa. If there are no races, they are both "open". Sometimes the quarterscale onroad track in Boulder City has "open" days, but you probably don't want to run a 1/10th scale on that large of a track unless it's just a high-speed run. The offroad track in Boulder City is also where 2008 Silver State will be held.

There is also the IIC. A link to the 2007 race: http://www.intchamps.com
