Hey!

I'm looking for all information concering the popularity of MiniZ (f1) cars.

I'm also going to try to get in contact of Kyosho.
All information is welcome. Clubs, races, events, sales numbers, upcoming cars (I know the Ferrari F1 is being released, the new one) etc.

Reason:
I'm from ING and I'm exploring the possibility of the creation of the R27/R28 Renault F1 car. The mini-Z cars are all nice etc etc but I need facts and figures.

Any info is appreciated!

info at stfoto dot nl or reply here.

Thanks and hopefully I can present the Renault F1 car to you guys! =)

If you will do a search on this forum you will see the complete build list of every mini z f1. Only the ferrari and mclaren have mad the cut the past few years. There is a site in Japan where their members make thier own f1's, red bull, honda, and renault. Here is the link www.mia-f1.com. Their cars are works of art and would not last long on our f1 track. We race F1's every week at my home track.

Thanks!

Yeah saw the Mia F1 site already..

Some more info:
I'm already a Mini-Z Fan myself, actually still got some new F1's for sale around 70 :P new in box (A) and got a collection of my own....

I saw the list, and I copied that for my presentation :)

But I'd like to know some more info about popularity, facts, numbers etc.

Still thanks for the quick reply! =) Any other additional info that can help get the Renault car developed would be welcome!! =D

As an F1 addict, I appreiciate any interest in F1 racing...that's why I'm planning on getting as many bodies for my f1 chassis'.

As drivers go, I'd choose fisi over kovaleinen as a helmet paintjob but that's mainly I'm true to the old school drivers.

If you produced this years car with Alonso I'd have to buy it just to burn it as a voodoo sacrifice...that chump deserves every bit of bad mojo coming to him. :D

As for popularity, it seems that the truly skilled Z'ers enjoy racing F1's and there seems to be a well filled catagory at every event I view/partake in.

Seriously, don't do Alonso.

Hehe yeah well got all the reference in the world. at mia-f1.com I saw the 2007 car from Heikki developed. As working at ING F1 I saw the drivers in real life and old or new their both great guys =)

It's still all in the orientation phase... Hope I can get it done.

Great thanks for the help so far! I got about 30-40 pics of (custom) F1 cars, some movies and pics of a custom R27 already... :P So enough to show as in cars... it's just ING is a company that doesn't say yes or no based on a toy car, but on facts =)

Thanks, sent the guy a private message. Also contacted Kyosho who would come back on the subject but so far no luck... I really hope I can do this.

It would be great to finally see a Renault F1!!!! :)

I think it would be great to get another paint job out there. The Renault yellow is one of the most eye popping color schemes in F1. It's the color scheme I had on my Tamiya F201 1/10th scale and it was a delight to see on track.

I hope this happens, I'm tired of the McLaren-Ferrari duels in Mini-Z F1. Gone are the days when we had Williams, Toyota, even Jordan making body shells also.

If they make a body set I for one will be getting two! I'm tired of running McLaren all the time.

our club has the same issues as stated above, just a bunch of Ferrari and McLaren Bodies.

I'd love to get the new body if they make it.

I'm a little puzzled by this thread. So you're from ING, and you're trying to get Kyosho to make the F1 Renault car? Maybe I'm missing something but I don't understand the connection or influence between ING and Kyosho's product development.

My guess would be that kyosho has asked for the licensing on the product design.

he is looking to see if it is in ING's advantage to allow Kyosho to use the scheme of the cars...

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well I work at the ING F1 team... Which is the F1 department at ING. That means that we handle everything on the sponsorship.

Thereby I know of Mini-Z and all the cars besides the ING Renault F1 car being built.

To sum it up, for our brand awareness its good to have our logo on the cool car in a different envirioment than the F1 scene: the RC scene which has lots of people too.

Also with a bit of a push we can make sure this "toy" gets to other people as well.

We can also use it as a gift to business partners etc. It's a nice give-away for us.

Last but not least I'm a Mini-Z Fan, have couple of F1's and would just love to see the Renault car in Mini-Z Since I work at ING Renault F1.
I ordered an old Renault 1/24 kit in order to make it fit but a worldwide production would be even greater. I see it as a challenge to get this done.

Hope this explains a lot to you? :) Any more questions also about the ING F1 sponsorship is welcome.

You do Know ING I presume? Wholesale banking, insurances etc? :D *some company pomotion here* haha :D

That's a good offer. If you can send us your number of members, facts figures usage of the track and business plan than I'll forward it to the head of F1 marketing/branding at ING. (j/k)

hehehehe :P

Well it's def a nice body! And it will get quite some attention, and the ING logo is quite prominent on it.

For example... if I say the name ING what do you guys think?
What kind of business is it?
What's the size of the business? Small medium large super big etc?

Just as a test :) *dont look up facts :P *

Hi Steve,

Which Kyosho office did you contact? Only reason i ask is because Kyosho Corp America is more of an in house distribution office since Kyosho split their ties with Great Planes/************ distribution. Although the Kyosho America does have feedback and influence on design (such as their off road vehicles and the newer Nascar Mini-Z lineup) you may get a more direct response if you contacted Kyosho's Home office.

And as for marketing, you have to help get the US GP back!

Good luck with the presentation.

at our local track we have atleast 7 F1's. It would be nice if they have different body selection. It's kinda hard to tell which one is which if all 7 cars are running around with the same red color.

That's why I drive the 2007 tribute car: the McFerlaren MP4-2248... :D

BTW, I've spoken with Kyosho America a few times about the popularity of the F1. Seems the sell more Mini-Z F1's in the USA than anywhere else in the world... Strange considering the full-scale popularity trend. If you want, I can try to get you US domestic distribution numbers. Global might be a little tougher.

was this the same car you used at the atomic race? I thought the body was clear... damn I need eye glasses!

BTW, the new R28 looks good. I think they did a better job with the 2008 livery. Here's hoping what's underneath is improved as well.

Well for me this is easy since I have an account with ING online banking so I already know about the company. :)
