What motors are allowed to run in the HFAY OLPS? I looked all over the HFAY site, and searched here, but found no answer. I see alot of members running the HFAY Spec motor, and some the Kyosho stock motor. Some peoples standings do not report what motor is used. I really like the Kyosho X-Speed motor that is in my car, why are X-Speed motors not allowed?

yeah Arch, I see what they are made of, but I have never ran ANY atomic motor, so I was asking about the speed.

Faster I believe and more torque. Though I have yet to run an x-speed on the 3010's. I'd pick the HFAY over x-speed. In fact it's the only motor I run now.

Thanks Kris, thats what I was looking for. So basically probably close to a Speedy 05 or 07?

It has good torque and top end. Some what like a speedy but more like a mix between a Speedy and an speedy NM.

Definately worth the money but they can burn up FET's if in the wrong hands. I've yet to have it happen though.

I dont think I will burn my fets with it, we all still have the old 02's with 3004 FETs, but I am seriously thinking about throwing some 3010's on another board I have laying here with the old FETs already removed.

One of my club members kids burned up his 3010 FET's but I think it was more his kid not letting off the throttle. Gasman and IMX burned up FETs on their board at the 3 hour race in a matter of minutes but this was on a brand new HFAY motor.

The HFAY Spec motor is a great motor and has lots of usable power. It is more than safe for 3010 FETs as well as 3004 FET's.

Thanks man, I was a little leary about trying a new motor. I might have to buy one and see what its all about before we all get into the HFAY series.

If you decide to race HFAY this motor is a must.

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything on what motors they are going to allow for next season? I know that box stock and the purposely made motor for HFAY are legal but I was wondering if they are going to allow any other motors for HFAY? I would like to see either the x speed be legal or any 3010 fet safe motor of your choice be legal.
