i made a crawler xmod and im thinking about doing it to the OL too. I can't find anything on what people are doing to make a crwler out of an OL. Could someone post some pics, desciption, or point me in the right direction?

When I was in Germany I met a fella called Svinny who also posts on here. He had a fantastic OL crawler. If I remember correctly he had cool.dragon tires and a freely articulating rear end. I think the bottom triangle thingy was removed to allow the back to sag and articulate more freely.

He also used a high torque low RPM motor to power it.

Might want to check this thread out..

i wasn't specific enough, i'm just looking for info on the motor. I used a sevo motor on my xmod and pictures are everywhere. I can't find a single picture of a crawler motor on a OL or tuts.

I started on mine, lock the diff lift it and put some super grip tires on it then stack fets, get a high torque servo motor and motor and your set. http://www.saltlakemini-z.com/forum/gallery/1/thumb_2_10_04_08_1_59_02_5.JPG http://www.saltlakemini-z.com/forum/gallery/1/thumb_2_10_04_08_1_59_00_4.JPG

great those are old pics, got my body painted muddy, when I put the rack on and the rear roll bar they were to wide doing some mods to it, but right now I am putting a 2.4 in my OL race. so can't get to it now, pics to come. PS should I get a high torque servo motor? seems like mine won't turn well with the big tires? I have a stacked board.

really?? i never really had an issue with that with mine... i did shim the servo to prevent the glitch, but other than that, my servo was fine...

hmmm... the other thing i've heard people do is that they stacked their fets for the steering too... not sure what that really accomplishes, but you can search for it....
