NIMH batteries should be stored at approx 1/2 charged according to Bob Novak of Novak Electronics. Old style Ni-Cads should be stored totally flat and Li-Po's should be stored fully charged.

I think how much charge will depend on how long do you really mean to put them away? But nonetheless, fully discharged for an extended period of time(a few weeks or even months) is definitely not good for NIMH batteries.

I don't know about NIMH but liths I know are suppose to be stored at 50% in a cool place but not sure if it is the same. But there is this thing called Google that gives you answers to almost everything if you use it right.

some ppl like Panasonic suggested it to store at full cahrge.... i think that not a problem for battery like eneloop which doesnt losses its charge over long time.... so is full charge recomended.?

Any amount is good for lith, but watch to make sure voltage doesn't go below 3v per cell or its toast. And make sure its at room temp. liths are much more temp sensitive than nickle

If I use the batteries once a week, Is it better to leave then fully charged, 1/2 charged or totally flat. I have Intellects and Orions. I am a little confused at some of the answers.

Sorry, this new technology are all new to me.
