Post which would be your dream pan chassis, between the MR-02 and the TRG Sinister.
After you have made your pick, post all the up-grades you would install to your chosen chassis, to make it the best racer possible.
If you already have your dream chassis, go ahead post the specs, set-up and pics.
Cheers.

not sure if i understand, but i'll give it a shot.

MR-02 platform with a Pro27aaa rear setup, Pro-Z type front suspension that would incorporate a micro servo, and can accept regular ASC bodies.

The usual goodies of options like Kyosho stainless kingpins, delrin front knuckles, PN ceramic ball diff, 3 racing rear pod, etc etc.

^with all those laps in the pnwc i should hope it is;)

i know i may seem bias but the sinister once setup correctly can be alot faster than an mr02.
we found this out at my first club race with it,3 laps more than the mr02's and an 11 second lap with the fastest 02 being in the mid 13's.
the top drivers are all of a similar skill level(we always compete:D)
this was wih the BDDS system installed too, with my own custom pinion

atm vds body
orange atm front springs
.8mm side plates
green atm rcp spring on the disc damper
tgr micro servo
spinner
team ae 27mhz reciever(de-cased)
0 toe
.5 castor(custom brace)
1 camber
0*atm dish front,+2 rear
10*aw groove rear
30*aw groove front

if i could make any changes to it maybe 2.4ghz a spektrum kit

Any Chassis with Foam tires, traction compound and a lexan body.

Once we can change over to those, Mod pan class will rock.

I'll be getting my s2 tomorrow. I hope to have this car set-up before next week for the regionals.

I'm gonna be PM'ing you for set-up... btw, weren't you a TGR factory driver? I thought I remember seeing it on your sig before.

It should allow any AutoScale to mount the same way as it does on the Mini-Z chassis. Having those body poles are ugly when they stick out of the body. You have to line up the body properly, drill the holes, and have gole-postes sticking out either end of body, really ugly.
So, the pan chassis should use standard Mini-Z mounting system.

But the body newer pops off with body-post

Is S2 = Sinister Pro (Belt drive) or S2 = lipo batty configuration??
Thx

Richard: It's belt driven but you can also run your ball diff. Li-po? No, it's still AAA batts. I mean, you can run Li-po if you'd like but the chassis is build to run AAA battery packs.

Going off topic, BLT, 7.2V lithium isn't useless. Try running LiPo with a 70t motor and you'll find out how much fun it is. ;) Appropriate power and speed for Mod but vastly improved runtimes (> 1 hour).

Speaking of foam tires, has anyone gotten them to grip well on RCP without traction compound? GRP tires grip wonderfully after WD40 treatment (+48 hours drying time, just in case) but there always runs the risk of damaging RCP with softened foamies.

Anyways, here's my dream-in-the-making mod pan chassis. Btw InZane, my car is as light as yours even though I run a Kyosho whitebody. :p

2s is a 2 cell configuration ran at 7.4v(lipo).
You could do 2s2p lithium ion packs, which would be near 600/700mAh at 7.2v.
You couldn't use a spinner esc though.. it's operating voltage is 4.8v, and I think 7.2v might over work it. Lithium isn't worth it... I used lithium in a lot of other rc's and it wouldn't seem reasonable here, unless you are trying to set a speed record.
Thx blt456
I use 2s and 3s on my helis. Just was:confused: with 2s and s2 posted here.
By the way do you have a dream chassis?
Cheers;)

Great paint job InZane, I see you painted the lexan from the inside as it should be. I have seen others panting their lexan shell on the outside.
Are you using Pactra paint?
BTW, InZane, thx for the PRO28AAA up-date, thatís a good news!!!:D

Well, you know Brian it's not about being light. It's about being lightning fast :)

@eztuner12 - Yup - Pactra/Testor it is! Painted from the inside, same way I've done it since the mid 60'ies :D

Eye with what the lightness is... In stock lighter is better, but in mod, a couple of extra grams in the right place make the car handle better and more consistent, not to mention in a slight collision, the heavier car usually has the edge...

Greetings gentleman,s.

yasuij, post a pic of your chassis!!! so we can see it as well.

InZane thx for the forum pics, I see slot cars are very popular in Sweden, as well as some countries in west EU. They are super fast, even faster after a couple of large Akurat beerís he, he. Do you race them?

blt great idea about cutting the Rx pins and soldering the wires directly, excellent!! You save weight, maintain a low profile and cleaner as well. Cool. Let us know the out-come of your test-drive as soon you do.

Mk2kompressor, any pic of your favorite ride, The Sinister?

Welcome Cristian. Canít agree more with you regarding your weight account. Hey any full pic of your favorite ride.

Cheers.;)

Richard, heres a picture of my car. Dont have any pictures of the chassis right now...but its similar to yasuji car except no stabilizer bar in front, with the Reflex WTF, rear pod is the new PN 94/98 motor pod.
