the 360 modena has the widest & longest track so far. The F355 is just as wide, but it uses the mid chassis setting.

The tires aren't actually wider than the CLK's, they are just offset more to give it a wider stance, in front & in back. It still has normal width front wheels & tires, but CLK size wide rear wheels & tires w/ the offset.

there a couple of guys at the track who had the 355... wide as the 360 but mid chasis setting... with the way it's shaped in the back, hop up parts i.e. rear shock may be a challenge, i think you can put in the roll shock though...

What can you do (if anything) to widen the stance of a mini-Z?

The only way to widen the ride area of a Mini-Z is with wheels and tyres.
The widest I've achieved is by using Mini-Z Formula-1 rear wheels on the rear of the Mini-Z Racer and the CLK rears on the front.
(The F1 front wheels just will not work on the Mini-Z Racer)

In addition, Squat makes special wheels to widen the stance:

They also make a special diff that lets you adjust the rear width, which should be arriving in the next day or two.

you can widen the stance or track width in the front by using gpm steering knuckles and putting a couple of washers on the axle before you put on your rim... i'll try to post a pic.

the axle on gpm steering knuckles are a bit longer than the kyosho steering knuckles, i've put up to 4 washers on each axle of the the gpm axle and tried doing this on the kyosho knuckles, but they can take only 1 washer on each axle.

i haven't tried widening the rear though, but i think you can do the same thing by putting washers (not many though) in the motor pod just before you put in the axle bearings.

Before u guys go nuts posting stuff I don't think Zac R will be able to post for about 5 weeks. I don't think he will be near a computer.

I have the 355 body with the roll shock installed... it is a TIGHT fit. The top of the roll shocks press up against the inside of the 355 adding tension to the springs, but not significantly. Its my favorite looking body (among the ones without decals), but for racing, I'd use the CLK or the Modena.
