Don't think we'll be able to make it now.

2008.11.08, 07:40 AM
I've changed the pot on the AWD (not tested it yet) but I can't figuure out how to put it all back together, even with the help of the manual. Changed the motor in the F1 (my new comment everytime I pass Bri will be "get outta my way!").

I'm going to try to get to the meet tomorrow, but I don't know what time that'll be, but I have a big favour to ask. Can someone please help me to put the AWD back together, I can't figure out how to get the steering to work again at the mo'.

2008.11.08, 10:37 AM
Strange how the manual isn't helping... I'll help you tomorrow, after the HFAY.

2008.11.08, 02:16 PM
Hey Oopster, if you have put the pot back together but the steering is still not working, there is a good chance that it wasn't back together properly and may have fried the steering FETs, very easily done on the pot as the solder has a tendancy to cross the 3 splines and short it.

Wont be able to make it this weekend guys, my sister-in-law was taken in to hospital the other night with a suspected blood clot in her lung, so need less to say it could be really serious, so i think it would be better i stayed at home just in case anything happens and need to take wifey to see her.
Have a good 'un peeps an i'll see you next month :(

2008.11.08, 06:50 PM
I hope everything is alright!

Shame you can't make it too, because it would of been interesting fighting for the championship. You not attending, automatically makes me the winner of it all, going into the race... :(

2008.11.08, 09:04 PM
sorry i dont think i will be able to make it tomorrow a drink driver has crashed in to me tonight  and the cab has been impounded:(

2008.11.09, 07:03 AM
Thanks Tom, it's not so much that it isn't helping, it's just not very clear.

Neomax, hope your sisters gets well soon. When I took the old pot out, the solder has gone onto two prongs, which I thought was odd, but then some solder crosses onto several legs of some chips, so thought that's how it's meant to be, so I've done the same with the new pot, maybe I shouldn't have done that, but I've not put electric through it yet so shouldn't have to worry about it, no, it's more the physical assembly of the steering linkage that I can't seem to figure out.

That sucks Digger, stupid drink drivers, I won't even consider driving if I've even had one, unless I feel sober and have forgotten, soon, feel really bad when I remember (but then it has only been one).
