We have a lot of PCB shutting down problems with our RCP track (AD and RV PCBs) and are sure it's a Static problem during the dry season. Our track is set on plywood. Is it possible to ground an RCP track? Please explain.

Thanks,

I have never experienced this problem. You may want to try a static cling spray that people use for clothes. I would try it on a small oval and see if you still have issues. Something like or similar to this http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100759&id=prod4261

I don't think it will hurt the tiles, but trying it on a small oval will minimize the damage to your whole track if for some reason it has an affect on the surface.

In Colorado, we have a very dry climate and also get static discharge like when walking on carpet and touching somebody. But I have never had such problems with track. This sounds like an unusual problem?
