11 People  Thats a great first turn out!

Awesome KB! You grabbed all the victories this week huh? :D

Thats 13.1 was run with a 2wd stock (P70t) car. I think I can get in the 12s with the mod cars :D

What class do you think will be first to take off Ed? Do you know if you guys are going to let AWDs and 2wds run together until there are enough people to split the classes?

Ed Roberts
2008.12.13, 05:27 PM
I think the first class to take off will be 2WD and we should run 2WD and AWD together at club races like you said.

Are you guys doing anythng on January 3rd, its the Saturday after new years. I think I will be in the area for a few days and would like to stop in for some good racing with you guys. Will there be a 2wd stock class, or just an open stock class to run in?

Thanks.

Ill get you the addy if Ed hasnt allready sent it to you. Its about 3 minutes from our office (if you get hung by the stop lights), and fairly easy to find.

I dont know if Ill be in town that weekend, but I look forward to racing with you again if I am. Youll want to have a LeMans spec car though, as its the class with the following right now. We set that class up so people could just buy a car and have a class to run in. Since its just taking off right now, thats the car most every one has. Youll need one of the LM bodies, a box stock motor, and to run the LM specific wheels and tires. I could probably hook you up with a motor mount, diff and wheels if you need to buy/borrow it. I think I even have a beater porsche that would be loanable, so you dont have to buy a bunch of stuff to race, just tires.

By your next visit, I think there will be more classes to choose from. Ed has done a great job getting product into the LHS, and Im sure its only a matter of time before most of the guys wull have multiple cars running in multiple classes. :D

Hrdrvr,

If you could send me the address that would be great.

I was planning on setting up an LM car, I played around with one a few months ago but switched it out for my mod car. If I had read this sooner I would have picked up that motor mount from you, I ordered one this afternoon. At least this way I can have a little time to set the car up. I have a body, I just need to order some tires. When I ran an LM body I used standard wheels and tires.

Do you think there will be enough people to run a stock class?

I hope you are around that weekend, it would be great to race with you again, I had alot of fun the last time. If you are in town, after the races we could go grab some dinner or something.

Thanks for everything

VAzRACER,

I'll get the address tomorrow and send it to you sometime soon.

I would have sent the motor mount to you, but its all good. You guys do all kinds of body specific races, maybe y'all will do an LM spec race sometime :D

If we are in town we should definitelty try and get together. It looks like we should be as of now. My immediate family is close (or visitng around christamas), but Sarah's family is all from out of town. Plans are alwas up in the air around the hollidays ;)

Ill see what I can do about drumming up some interest in another class. There has been interest in mod, F1, and stock class, so we'll see what every one gets for christmas, and what they will be comfortable racing with by then :D

mleemor60.

I will be there for March 7th, I think Ed and Jeremy are coming too.

hrdrvr,

I remember the last time I was there all the guys were real good, I imagine that they only got better. I'm glad to see the switch to 70t, thats what I've been practicing with since the last time I raced down here, plus no more heat issues. Do you think we can get another F1 or maybe a mod race going?Just a thought. I'll see you in the morning.

hrdrvr
2009.02.13, 08:07 PM
Ill bring my mod, stock and F1 cars along. While Id like to run mod to get some practice for the 7th in on the big track, I think stock is more likely to happen. Since 843 started carrying PN parts, and ASCs, there are a few people who have stock set ups. Shane still has an F1, and maybe Tannie will bring his. See you tommorrow!

What are the regular hours for 843 hobbies? Any different hours on the sixth of March?

hrdrvr
2009.02.20, 03:45 PM
Their regular hours are usually from 11 to 7, but they stay open later sometimes if there is a good crowd practicing/racing. The event layout will be set up and available for practice by then, so count on getting in some practice laps if you come in early enough.

Ed Roberts

I will talk to the owner tomorrow to ask if he is planning on staying open later on Friday 6th. James is a nice guy and I'm willing to bet he will stay open till around 9 to 10pm. I will let you know for sure tomorrow night.
