Hey people. I've been following this forum lately coz I picked up my MR02 again and read that the SC430 is very popular. I've yet to get my hands on one but am wondering whats the widest offset for this shell. Its stated 0,0 on paper but I'm not really convinced. Anyone?

havent done it, but could probly fit +1 in fronts but wheel would be more exposed when turning. the rear has probly a mm or less of more clearance but if you shaved off the tiny little fender it would fit, may even fit fine without doing it. also depend on if you can adjust rear ride height and how easy your suspension moves side to side

Hmm not sure about that. I'm running an MR02 MM with atomic motor mount and atomic damper system. How does that sound?

u could run plus ones in the front with some modifications to the underside... as far as the rears you can only fit plus 1 kyosho rims (which i always felt were half size large anyway)... but with after market rims you can get a plus 2 in there...

The maximum safe offset I would say is +1N/+2W, and I've raced my SC430 like that before, but you might not like using such an offset pattern on a relatively short car. 0N/+1W seems to be a better combination for racing.

I second that, we used +1N/+2W for a 3 hour race last year. Everyone ran an SC430 body and the same offset wheels, it was a good setup, it seemed to make the car understeer some though. I later tried +2N/+2W, but the front always climbed walls like that.
