This car was literally built from scratch. Here's what's in it:

Kyosho Skeleton chassis (translucent green)
Kyosho AM MR-02 board with 2x2 FET stacks @ 8.6A each (FDS8858CZ)
Atomic damper system w/medium springs
3Racing outer-tuner Ball diff
3Racing carbon fiber H plate (Medium)
Atomic Stock BB motor
Sealed ball bearings all around
Medium springs on front suspension
TopCAD split 3 spoke aluminum wheels w/Kyosho slicks
McLaren F1 body from iWaver. Single piece, no parts to break or fall off. Much more rugged than Kyosho.

This car has probably less than 2 hours of use on an RCP track. The chassis is in nearly new condition. The body has a bit of wear on it, but it too is in very good condition without cracks and only a few minor scratches. Even the mirrors are still intact.

The combination of the FET'ed board and the Atomic BB motor make this car way too fast, I have to setup the throttle high point to 40-50% just to be able to manage it (did I mention I'm still a novice driver?). So if you're a speed freak this is for you.

Payment will be by PayPal. I will consider cashier's check or money order but the car will be shipped after receipt of the check.

Free pickup is also available if you live in the Bay Area, and will save you $5.00.

Wow...

81 hits on the page and not a single reply. I guess that AM stuff is no longer in vogue. I for one never felt the need for 2.4GHzfor surface based RC. Air/Helis is a different story, but not cars.

Anyway, This is the morning bump, and a price reduction. Now $115.

You, for one, have obviously never driven one then. :D

Looks like a nice car at a good price though, so good luck,

ianc

Actually I have, in fact I have a Spektrum module that had used on my 1:10 scale car.

At the risk of starting a religious war here (AM vs. FM vs. AD vs. ASF), I'll just say this:

I've driven my friend's ASF, and other than not having to worry about crystals and frequencies, and having a short antenna on the transmitter which doesn't get in the way, I PERSONALLY don't care for ASF. Does it feel more responsive on the steering?.. maybe, but I can't really tell the difference. What I can tell however, is this HORRIBLE delay on reverse throttle.

As I previously said, I'm still a novice driver and like many novices I end up in the wall plenty of times. I want to be able to get myself out of trouble about as fast as I got myself into it, and the delay inherent to the ASF is just a show killer for me.

Looks like a nice car at a good price though, so good luck,

ianc

Thank you.

Well it doesn't matter any longer as I've removed it from here. It is now on the Bay-of-E.

But just out of curiosity, what's so wrong with 3Racing parts? I've used Atomic, Kyosho, 3Racing, PN, TopCAD and others and frankly when it comes to the aluminum parts, there's very little difference between them.

With respect to 3Racing, the only major differences I've come across are the springs (which are heavier than Atomic's or Kyosho) and their carbon fiber stuff which is thicker. So a 3Racing Medium plate is heavier and stiffer than the equivalent Kyosho, more like the hard plate. Same with the springs. The build quality of the aluminum parts is similar to Atomic, and I think it's better than PN.

Anyway, thanks for the bump
