Hello. Is the new Ferrari F430 GTC Test Car, the gorgeous pure white one, a very durable body? When I get back into the Z's, I think this will be my next one! Also, what's the wheel offsets on it? I'm thinking a set of Tagu Osians!

The correct wheels for a F430 GTC need to be a replica of the BBS wheels they use for racing, seen in the picture below

http://digistealth.com/Public/RC_Cars/Ferrari_F430/CR_Scuderia_56sm.jpg (http://digistealth.com/Public/RC_Cars/Ferrari_F430/CR_Scuderia_56.jpg)

The closest thing to those wheels are the Square BBS style. The correct offset for an MR-02 is 0 both front and back. They come in silver and gunmetal, but silver is the correct color. The part numbers are: NBS-100 (narrow/0 offset) and WBS-100 (wide/0 offset).

I got mine at HKS Hobby, but when I ordered them they put me on backorder for 2 weeks and after that they said they couldn't get them so I ended up getting the gunmetal which in retrospect are too dark. But if you can find another source, that's the closest you'll come to the real deal.

Thank you Dude! Those would have been my second choice. For those, I shop at EGR as they have loads in stock in various offsets. Unfortunetly, they just dont' have the inch-up's I'm after. Inch-up's would be much cooler to have on this car.
Is that body one you painted? Can you post more pics of it? I dont' recognize the paint scheme as one done by Kyosho.

No mention on durability of this body?

Is it just me, or is that rear wing off?

The wheels in the link above have since been replaced withe square wheels.
The wing is not "off", it's just different than the wing on the F430 GTC you have.

The closest thing to a usable wing was the Atomic GT, but it's not accurate. It's too long (front to back), the side pieces are a trapeze instead of a square and the dip on the sides is way too pronounced. But short of making my own from scratch or buying the corvette Le Mans CR5 whitebody just to cannibalize the wing, the Atomic wing had to do.

^ Dude! You should have told me you needed a Corvette wing!!

I had one that I didn't use when I build my blue Corvette :p

Not sure I said it before, but those
f430s are bamfs.

Nice work d.

Inch ups look terrific on it and
are a virtual perfect fit. No lowering
or rubbing... just plug and play lol.

Comparison with tagus.

I thinking about moving the golds
to the white F430 and using the nib
silver inch up bbs on the F430SE. :p

Not impressed with the F430 SE. With
the new larks (they have issues as well)
yes, but not the f430s. Big K is really
getting sloppy...:o

cheers.

Thank's guys. Part's, it's that sloppiness of the decals that I'm not impressed with on the full racing version of the F430. Thus one reason I'm aiming for the white one, plus, I simply love white cars!
I'm still trying to pry those NIB inch-up wheels off of you Parts, :D! I agree with you, those would look sweeeeeeeet on the white Ferrari. Just wish they were more readily available, :(
Tagu's look great too, but aren't 100% accurate for this car. Still, nice looking!

Dude, that yellow one with the white/black chequred would be hot! Is there a way you can decal that chequre design?

I wouldn't have picked it if I didn't think I could do it. It's not going to be all decal though, it will be part paint job, and part decal.

Anyway, where do you guys get those inch up BBS wheels like the gold ones in the pix above? You would definitely get a couple of sets of those (in silver of course).

MARC - off-sets, you can fit +1 front and rear. I think i have 0 F, +1 R. As far as durability...its to new. The wing could be iffy if it landed on the corner. The front looks OK but i reinforced it anyway because i race them. As far as a race body....its very much like the 360GTC....which i absolutly love. No more trying to scarf uo a 360 GTC body somewhwere.;):D

Thanks, but I had no idea you had one, and frankly I wasn't thinking about it at the time. But thanks for the offer, maybe next time.

Or you could just pick up the f430
whitebody lol. :D

As far as I know, they are sold out
and no longer made.

My shop had to look through all 9
of his distributors and more shops
after that just to find me a few sets...
and this was maybe two years ago...
Took him like 3-4 months.

Have some in gold gunmetal and silver
so I am covered. :p

I'm sure they would pop up now and then.

I know the shop here had a few a while back
in gold...
