Car has been recently rebuilt starting with a new chassis and stock motor mount. The following upgrades are on the car
-Kyosho 2 degree knuckles
-Kyosho CF side plates
-Kyosho front yellow springs
-Kyosho rear red springs
-Kyosho oil shock ( was trying something, but Atomic or Kyosho friction will probably work better)
-Alloy +1 tie rod
-Atomic F1 diff(includes 64p spur as well as 48p spur depending on what motor mount you'd like to use)
-Ball bearings
-ASF board hard wired to battery terminals. ICS pins bent to clear shock mount

Everything pictured is included. I'd like to mention that the PN mount pictured had the side spring holes drilled through to experiment with a setup, however side springs can still be used with no problems

Any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you!:D

Hank, if you decide to do some parting LMK. Ill sit back and see if you can sell it off as a package, but if not, Id like to get in on some of the small parts and tuning items.

This F1 is the winner of the East Coast Atomic Regional today. I set the car up last night to be a loaner, to add another racer to the class. Installed the PN motormount, with the ATM DDS that was included. I used Kawada DDS discs, springs and post (post is shorter than normal posts, and the discs are smaller and use a conical spring instead of cylindrical, giving the damper lower stack height when assembled)... I raised the damper plate off of the blue standoff with red alloy MR02 front spring travel limiter. Rear end felt very planted, even with the grooved tires that I dislike so much. I, almost... like them now :p

My ASF F1 started to get a glitch, where the steering would lock up to the right in one section of the track. I dont know why, but I didnt want to fuss around... So I swapped my motor and diff into the car (had 64p, where this car had a 48p diff). I used my rear wheels and tires as well, but left the front end 100% the same. I did change the body to a Ferrari 2005, and had to make clearance for the DDS. The McLaren body was too pretty to hack up like that.

There were not many entries, so there was not much to judge it as far as laptimes were concerned. I felt that the car was a bit quicker than my original car (which is not a slow car), but wasnt as consistant since it had more steering (what front tires are on the car Hank?). The car had a LOT of virtual inertia, where mine doesnt. Without the virtual inertia, I think the car would have been more of a handful, since there is a lot more steering than on my car. I would let off on the straight 1/3 down and let it coast as I entered the sweeper and let the scrub slow me down. . . I didnt want to change too much since I was running 4 classes, so I just drove it the way it was without making ICS adjustments. I would have liked the VI a little less, and throttle frequency lower. Without pushing the car, it put up good laptimes. In my stock car I did 11.35s fast lap. In this car, I did 11.4s. So it was very fast as far as F1's go.

Thanks for the deal. :D

I think the front tires were PN 15s. Glad it worked out for you;)

PN 15, really? Cool. They worked perfect, I thought they were Kyosho 30... PN 15 have too much steering on my other car. Guess this rear end works well, especially with 3C Ruby Lube. The rear end was planted.

Here are a couple pics. The smaller holes in the body were already there. I made them for clearance with the ATM DDS damper on my other F1. This setup has the top shock basically in the same position that it would be in with the ATM mount/DDS. I only made holes for the damper plate clearance. Its not neat, but when your at a big race rushed for time, neat doesnt matter.

Using a standard DDS post is too tall. You need a lower stack height. Otherwise you will have to cut up the body a lot more.

Good luck getting the Kawada DDS. It is pretty expensive, and difficult to find. I just happened to buy one on a used car a while ago (Thanks PChan0) that I have recycled on many different setups.

You could possibly work something out with the damper post on the PN 94LCG mount. It looks about the same height. You just have to find the right springs that will allow the damper to function properly without flattening out the spring.

Just the DDS setup would cost about $65 to get the parts, without including shipping. ~$25 for the ATM F1 DDS, and ~$40 for the Kawada RM DDS. Of course, you could then use the Kawada damper setup with the post, discs and springs from the F1 DDS. If you add the top shock, then it brings it to about $80. Is it worth it? Hard to judge. I need to do more head to head comparison with my F1s after I fix the steering on my main one. I have a third one, but I need to get the right tie rod for it.
