given the cheap cost of these, who is up for an m3 class race? or series even? there are enough color options i think we should be good.

i'd like for us to maybe arrange a group buy that way we can all save a bit on shipping and pick them up at a club race. does that sound good with everyone?

fyi, i'd like to get atleast 2, red and white.

I'll be picking up a white one as well (though I might strip and repaint it). If you guys want to set up a group I'll be happy to make the order from TE.

Buy the whole kit or just bodies? What do they cost w/ shipping and etc?

Use the Toy East . net site... wholesale prices, about half the price of the .com site. I think the min order is about $300, so you may want to try to work something out with Mini-Z to stock the store with the leftovers... I would definitely be interested in getting one for myself as well... and can speak with some of the tracks near me to see if they would be interested in some as well.

I'd buy a couple from the store if they are available soon. Anyone figured out the offsets on an MR-02 yet?

body only. why would we dump $80 for an fm chassis for a club series? as interested as i am in the kit, i don't need the headaches of dealing with another frequency, parts, etc. i think most would feel the same.

thanks for the suggestion emu. i indeed forwarded this to david and will bug him repeatedly :) wnat to get the point across to david, submit shop support tickets requesting the m3 body ;) nothing wrong with a little grass routes campaigning.

If we want lower prices, we'd definitely have to go the route EMU suggested. I'd be happy to send the same amount of money I'd spend on TE.com to David/MZR anyway, so that's en excellent idea. I priced out some sample orders through .com last night and we'll certainly save by going with a bulk order either way.

be sure to submit a support ticket at the shop requesting m3 ;)

i'll try to get this fast tracked and large support ticket support will certainly help.

Are the body clips different for the IW chassis to the Mini-Z? I would wait with the bulk order until someone has a chance to check how the body fits the Mini-Z...

arch2b

the website says it fits the mini-z. ofcourse, that could be a vague comment but will not know until someone actually has one in hand and that could be tomorrow or never. i'd say post the question to the iwaver vendor subforum however i recall someone saying the rep wasn't posting anymore which create a bit of a void to fill.

given the reports that these are 102mm wheelbase, is everyone still interested? i've only run 102mm for mini-van class before.

an alternate club series could be the Renault Megane Trophy body which is 94mm mm or rm. they are $30 however.

ok, talked to the guys present today and we are continuing with the m3 class. i already ordered a new 102mm motor mount. does this require a special h plate? last time i ran this wheelbase was the mini-van race.

Hi Arch,
102 is very easy, it is basically the Nascar WB. With MM, all you have to do is move the H plate to the middle holes on the chassis. I use the stock damper on my car (http://www.nanospeeders.com/forum_z/index.php?showtopic=1381&hl=) and I had to use the Nascar extension that goes on the motor clip to attach the damper.

The chassis I ran Saturday for the trailer race was 102mm (the Mazda LM body). I was using the PN v3 LCG mount and a PN damper, just move everything back a notch. ;)

I'm really looking forward to this. Should we just order white painted bodies so they can be customized at will, or ask around the club for preferences? I'll be picking up a couple of white ones regardless.

i suggested david order more white than anything and tan the least.

should we require the use of the stock wheels as well? i bought a new set of tower bars just incase as i have the 015 conversion set installed right now.

Good question. While it might not fit my preferences (that front track looks too wide/exposed for the body from what I've seen), it would be more in the spirit of the race if everyone was forced to run the same offsets at least, if not the stock wheels. In that case we could allow the typical adjustments (camber/castor/toe), but not changes in track width.

i agree, keep the factory offfset. leave the wheel choice to the driver. for those of us with various tower bar kits, wheel choice will differ to get to the factory offset.

I sure hope so. We're obviously at the mercy of the shop order, though. ;)

Hi there. This BMW is a nice body, do I understand it that the shop here is going to sell these bodies? I like all the colors, especially the red, black, white, and dark gray ones.
I haven't noticed, but does it come in blue as well?

Where do we want 2 hold this race? I have another idea 4 a race, not original but would be a cool race 2 do. Check 4 a new thread.

i was hoping we could do a series with these vs. a single event.

i'm all for more special events too though!

Do any of you still have one of these? I can't find them online and I'd like to buy one for a mod that I'd like to have Dr. Kustom do. If you have one that you wouldn't mind selling please PM me. Color doesn't matter because we're goign to strip it anyway. Thanks!
